If you need a budget stop over in BKK before flying, this is very good value for very little money!
Friendly service, helpful with printing boarding pass (for free), slept very well and had a smooth arrival and departure, because the included transfer service from and back to the airport. Thank you!

This hotel is fine if you're looking for cheap accommodation close to the airport.

Clean rooms(although the hallway carpet has seen better days). No signs of bugs as other reviews have suggested.

The free shuttle runs every hour to the airport.

The food in the restaurant is surprisingly good, but is quite pricey by Thai standards.

The hotel provides good value for money, and if we were travelling on a tight budget again, we'd probably stay here again, as it is good value for money.

If you're interested for a one night's stay then it's an ok place. Our room was nice and clean, with good air con plus they have free shuttle service from and to the airport. Receptionist was very rude, didn't even bother to say hello but as I said, if you're only there for the night doesn't really matter.

There is no pool, only a pool table.

I stayed here one night in March 2014 before catching a plane to Canada. Its not the cleanest place I've ever stayed in but its not the dirtiest. The place is ageing. There is a free transfer that will take you to the hotel, just 15 mins away. They will ask when you need to leave the next morning and there are wake up calls. The one thing I really liked was there was an in house massage person, who can come in like 20 mins. The massage was very good after travelling all day.
There is a cafe next door on the main floor where you can get breakfast for 50 baht and coffee for 40 baht. I always have a travel cup so I had fresh coffee on the van ride to the airport. The cafe also sells beer so you can get a beer there.
The room is nothing special, just a wardrobe, bed, TV (no english channels), refrigerator with 2 bottles of water, a balcony that you can smoke on (but the air conditioner blows hot air on you), a small shower with 2 towels and a western toilet. There was one power outlet on the mirror console, and one where the lamp plugged in (the lamp didn't work). I saw no bugs except a mosquito.
If you are staying one night, its a good place to stay, close to the airport, and you have food next door.

Room Tip: there are no good rooms

We landed in Bangkok airport tried after a 19 hour flight from Melbourne at 9pm; it mentioned on their website that they did a free shuttle bus collection from the airport to hotel, after trying to locate the pick up point in the airport we were very pleased to see a lady with a 'Plai Garden Guesthouse' sign, with a list of names and ours included, within 10 minutes we were taken outside, luggage loaded and driven to the hotel.

When arriving at the hotel we were very pleased and surprised, it looked better than the pictures, and the service was polite and great; we were instantly asked if we need another free shuttle service to the airport the next day (as you get two free shuttle runs with each stay) we said yes as we wanted to get the skytrain into the city the next day from the airport.

Our rooms were what we expected, clean, average size, big comfy double bed, working new A/C that was quite, two bottles of sealed water, a western bathroom clean enough, a balcony and free fast WIFI from your own room.

They offer private tours and trips to attractions in and around Bangkok but for a private price, yet they are willing to help you with advice on other methods of transport.

The dinning/bar area was pretty, decorated with lovely tropical flowers, we had breakfast the next day which was reasonably priced but with friendly prompt service.

Overall we found Plai Gardens a good first stop on our trip in Thailand, we the easy of getting free transport late at night from the airport and a 24 hour check in, with friendly staff with reasonably good English i would recommend it to anyone.

We plan to use Plai Gardens again the night before we fly out off Bangkok because of their good service and location to the airport.
