Stayed just the one night on a trip down from the mountains to the coast. Great location just over road from the beach. Very clean but basic room , good bathroom and shower. Probably would not want to stay more than a night or two but did the job for us. Friendly reception and staff.

The hotel itself was excellent -> good value for money! We had the room number 21 on the top floor and the view from the balcony was absolutely fabulous. Staff was ever so helpful, but I have to mention they do not really speak English. We have had the room cleaned every day and it was always spotless!
Torre del mar is gorgeous! The city is not too far located from Granada, Nerja and Malaga. Well worth to visit them all. In Nerja try the beach out next to the "Balcony of Europe" it's mesmerising!
We highly recommend the Hotel and Torre del mar as well!

We were at the front of Hotel with a wonderful view. The rooms are quiet small but comfortable and well equipped even a folding table and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean.
The location was excellent, with lots of good restaurants close by. The breakfast was basic, but fresh orange, good coffee and croissant, but was only four euros.
The staff were all very helpful. We will be staying here again.

Room Tip: We went for the front of Hotel, because of the view.

This was almost the perfect hotal for me. I needed a break to recharge my batteries in the sun, and didn't want to be be in either a buzzing resort or a large hotel. The hotel is right on the sea front, it could not be closer to the ocean. I had a double room at the front of the hotel which had an ensuite bathroom with an excellent shower over a small bath and a range of quality toiletries. There was a small fridge in the room and there was a blacony with 2 chairs and a table. I could and did catch the sun from sunrise to around 3:30 in the afternoon in early November.
I'd prebooked breakfast which I had every morning outside. Basic, but great coffee a toasted roll or croissant and freshly pressed orange juice.
The only slight downside for me is that this is a small hotel and there was nowhere I could sit in a comfortable chair - there was upright wooden chair in the bedroom.

We stayed at this hotel last night in order to break up our journey from a villa in the mountains to Malaga airport for an early flight this morning. Room was small but perfectly adequate. The bathroom was modern with a fantastic power shower, lovely toiletries and despite previous comments we found the towels to be fine. The whole place was immaculately clean and gleaming. The bed was very comfortable, the room air conditioned with TV and fridge. This is the second time we have stayed and will not be the last, we cannot fault the place.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room if possible, simply because it's nicer to look out on the beach and sea...

Although we had been staying up in the mountains inland from this hotel for the main part of our holiday, we also wanted a few days down near the beach as well, so booked into this place for a few nights last October. We were not disappointed, as it was right on the beach, yet a stones throw from all the places we needed to get to in Torre del Mar i.e. English bookshop, Sol supermarket, internet cafe, main restaurants, etc. etc.
We had read the reviews, so went prepared. Yes, the towels are scratchy because they have been boiled clean, so we took our own. No, there are no tea and coffee making facilities (there rarely are in Spain, even in the upmarket 'Paradores'), so we took our own travel kettle. Yes, the traditional toast and coffee Spanish breakfast does seem expensive if you take the inclusive option, so get your own supplies in for less - there is a small fridge in the room to keep a few bits in.
The room itself was perfectly adequate for our needs and very cheerfully decorated. It was lovely to have a small balcony looking out over the promenade and sea, and we indulged in a fair amount of people watching as we idled our spare moments away. Given another reviewer's comments about stubbing toes on protruding bed legs, we took the precaution of tucking the valance up so that they were always visible! Seemed to do the trick as we came away in one piece. The bathroom was admittedly tiny (it had a bath, but it was the very small knees-around-your-ears type, and little use as anything other than a shower tray really), but the bathroom was perfectly adequate for our needs during a short 3 night visit as it had all the essentials. The room - and hotel in general - was spotlessly clean, and the double glazed patio doors meant that all the street noise from the promenade below didn't intrude and disturb our sleep. In fact, the only thing which caused any disturbance at all was the sound of the amorous couple in the room above on one occasion, so they were obviously enjoying their visit immensely too!
Finally, we found the reception staff to be pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Whilst they aren't fluent in English (this is a small provincial hotel, so it wouldn't be expected that they should be so), they have a good grounding in it and put up with our painfully ungrammatical attempts to communicate in Spanish with great patience.
All in all, extremely good value for the money we paid, and we will certainly be staying there again for a few days each time we come over to the area.

Muchas gracias a todo el equipo en el hotel, y volveremos!
