Just returned from an overnight stay with my husband, mum, daughter and son in lawas we were attending a family party in North Shields... We needed three rooms which were allocated all together. I have stayed at numerous premier inns in the past, all which have been great, but I have to say this one had the friendliest staff I have ever come across in any hotel.
From reception staff to breakfast staff in the pub next door.... Each and every member of staff we came across had a beautiful smile on their faces and made us feel really welcome. They are a credit to the company... Well done!!
The rooms as usual were lovely and clean, and the beds so comfy which enabled us to have a lovely sleep.
For a Saturday night and a full hotel we expected some noise... But were pleasantly surprised on how peaceful the hotel was.
I would definitely return to this hotel, great staff, great rooms, altogether just a great hotel!!
Oh and every room had a lovely cooling fan... Just what we needed with this weather!

This hotel is part of the Premier Inn chain. The usual high standards of cleanliness and room comfort. On site there is a Brewers Fayre which isn't my favourite eating place, but certainly handy enough for a bite to eat and a drink. My only real gripe is for a budget hotel, £90 is getting on the steep side. Especially considering when it's in the middle of a retail park with no other real amenities around you.

We stayed here for a 1 night, 2 day break. We had wanted o stay in South Shields but that had been fully booked. This was just as easy as it is just through the tunnel if you want to go to South Shields which we did on our second day. We arrived at the hotel at around 12 noon and went in to ask if it was possible to check in then even though it is from 2pm. The lady on reception was extremely helpful and said that she would check if our room was ready because they had been full on the Saturday night as they had a cruise liner leaving for the fjords that day and so the guests were hanging on till 12 noon to check out as they were not leaving till that afternoon so the cleaning staff hadn't been able to get into the rooms. We said it wasn't a problem that we had just arrived and thought we would see if we could check in early. She asked one of the cleaning staff if they could do our room next as it was empty and asked us to come back in half an hour. There is a shopping outlet place where the hotel is so we went for a wander around there.

We came back and she gave us our room key and told us how to get into the town and directions for the marina etc, she was extremely helpful. The brewers fayre is right next door which you can get your evening meal at and breakfast or there as lots fish and chip restaurants etc down by the harbour in town. You would need a car to get here as it is quite a way.

The ferry and obviously cruise ships are just within walking distance really from the hotel so excellent if you want to catch a ferry.

This is an excellant hotel that is situated out at the north shields ferry terminal and was one of the reason we chose it as we were leaving the next day on a cruise. The staff are very professional and helpful and even contacted us a few days before our trip to see if their was anything we needed for the room or special requests. I was very impressed with this especially since premier inn is a budget hotel. The rooms and the hotel as a whole was very clean and tidy I actually saw a staff member out picking up rubbish at silly oclock when I went for a walk that was pretty good in my book. We had a family room which was much larger than expected. You even get 30 minutes of free wifi.

The only reason it never got 5 stars was that it was a very hot day and night as it was in middle of a heatwave but we couldnt open the window as the handle had been snapped off they had put a fan in the room which only helped to circulate the stale air around the room so wasnt much use. Otherwise everything was great.

If you had to stay somewhere for Hotel Or for a Meal this has to be the standard that everyone should work too. The service at the hotel and restaurant was of a very high standard, i would recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone.

Stayed here quite a few times for work and it cannot fault the place. All the rooms I have had have been spotless and the staff are all very polite and cannot do more for you. Location wise the only benefits I can see are people who are working in the area or are travelling and need a good hotel for the night. There is a water park over the road and small shopping centre, but the choice is limited. The restaurant next door serves the usual standard you would expect from a chain restaurant, but again friendly staff and the drink prices are quite decent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor, far away from the resturant side and facing away from the carpark...

Great sleep and service but poor brekkie.
Location is a bit out of the way, but it was the closest available accommodation we could find close to where our event started.
If they just improved the breakfast it would be a highly recommended
