We had a wonderful vacation in Pylea Beach hotel in 2007.
It's a small hotel owned by a family, so it's not overcrowded at all, and the service is great. Hotel is very quiet and cozy, just on the beach (pebble, not sand, and also a bit windy in September, but still great).
Our room was airy and simple, with new furniture, and it was cleaned every day. We had a balcony, an air-con, TV and fridge in the room as well. Almost all the rooms have the pool/sea view.
This hotel is the best if you want to stay on BB basis, because you can eat out in Greek taverns which are close to the hotel. They have a variety of national and other food, and Greek people are sooo friendly, and the food is served in large plates, so that you can't even finish it sometimes.
Breakfasts were the same almost every day but it's fine. They were tasty (fried/boiled eggs, sausages, corn flakes, fresh bread which could be toasted, butter and jam, milk and coffee and tea, cheese and ham, fresh vegetables... maybe I forgot something).
There is a wireless internet access in the hotel which is a big PLUS. Actually it is in the main building (where reception/restaurant are located), but we could also connect from our balcony.
The beach is clean, just one minute walk from the hotel. The sunbeds cost 2.50 EUR for the hotel guests. The sea was not always calm, as it was windy (but it was my first swimming in the sea actually and I did well).
The hotel is rather close to Rhodes Town, you have to take bus or taxi. Taxi is rather cheap, the receptionist will call it and it will arrive in a couple of minutes. Buses are also OK, they go to the central bus station in Rhodes town, just near the Old Medieval Town.

The only thing that may disturb you in this hotel are the planes (the hotel is very close to the airport), but you don't even notice them in a day or two. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone who wants rather cheap vacation in good place with good service.

Hi everyone! I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. I have a good experience of different hotels. The hotel is 2 stars, the rooms a very simple, like motel in USA. Here they don't chance soap, just what they provided at first time, towels are changing every day, the beds several times per week. I didn't like the owners, because we had a back flight at 2. 00 a.m. at night and nobody told us to leave a room at 12.00!!! And they start to knock at the door when we tried to pack our bags. The sea of this western cost is good for windsurfers but if you want to swim at clean sea with mask - go to eastern cost. Here you can find a good school of windsurf Meltemi near Blue bay. The food in this hotel is so so, mostly the same every day. If you want to try greece food - go to the restaurant but don't try it there. The airport is near this hotel and all sound of it in your room everyday. If you have baby - I guess you will have problems with getting sleep. So, I can advice this hotel if you want to windsurf , don't have big budget for the vacation, and want to enjoy silence and distance from big cities.

We was travelling whith our two year old son to Rhodes. If you want a soft weekend whith lots of walking, nice long beach whith few places to eat and a short walk in 15 minutes to the nice little town Kremasti.
The hotell was a budget place whith a terrible breakfast, small room and lots of sounds from landing airplane in Kremasti Airport. The Staff was helpful och nice och the place has a good pool. The hotell restuarant was ok. The loccation was beside everything and the place was really small. For kids they have a waterworld around the corner but no more. 3-4 small supermarkets near the hotell and 4-5 resturants in 5-10 min range. A walk at the long windy beach in 15-20 minutes u come to the small town Kremasti who is frendly and nice and only a few turists are there.

Do not miss to visit Rhodos town whith bus,its a 30 min travel.

If u want a peaceful come vaccation this is the place if u like to walk alot.

Its very windy and alot of waves and stones in the water.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It's run by a family and has a welcoming ambience. The owner, Nikos, is helpful and friendly. The hotel is on the small side and situated on a quiet, relaxing beach that has calm waves (great for swimming!). The rooms were simple and clean, and each one faces the ocean. Breakfasts were substantial and good. Vendors came to the beach mid-morning selling fresh fruit and delicious Greek donuts. There's a 10 minute walk to the bus, but that means that there is no busy road near the hotel. The bus ride to Rhodes town is about 15 minutes. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to Rhodes town but want the feeling of being slightly out of the way. (**Stay here rather than Faliraki if you want to avoid the package tourism feel**). Rhodes is a beautiful island rich with history, and I highly recommend staying at this hotel when you go.
