very welcoming, small, clean and very friendly hotel.
Have just returned from a week and it was lovely - will definately be going back. The rooms are cleaned every day bar Sunday with fresh towels. reception could not be more helpful when we asked about anything. Alex our barman (and sadly a Chelsea fan!) was wonderful.
Rooms are spacious with probably the best shower I've ever had in a 2 star hotel.
Whilst the pool area is small it is a suntrap and was plenty spacious enough for the time of year we went although i imagined could get a little crowded during peak months.
We had a wonderful time and were sorry to leave

Room Tip: pool side has less noise from planes as they descend to the airport on the other side

My husband & I have just come home after a 10 night stay. We had a lovely time at this family run hotel which was spotlessly clean with very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Thank you Lula, Tassos, Angela, Maria and Elena and also Alexi n the bar. It is in a traditional village where there are a few restaurants, we liked the Italian and the Meze, and the food in the hotel was particularly good too. The local buses stop outside the church which take you into Rhodes town in about 20 minutes. The only reason we have not given the Anseli 5 stars was the pool, which could have been cleaner.
It is situated on the flight path so can be a bit noisy which didn't bother us at all.

One word - awful. Dirty rooms, rude staff, food dreadful. Would never stay here again. Was so disappointed. They advertised internet, which was partly the point of my trip as I had work to do. The service was intermittent, or didn't work at all. Was also charged 10 euro's a week (not advertised) for this service which didn't work most of the time!

We had our first holiday at the Anseli at the end of August/beginning of September and it was wonderful! We were there for two weeks, we stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very comfortable, clean and big enough for myself, my husband and our two children. We received a warm welcome at this family run hotel from the moment we arrived and were hugging them as we said our goodbyes on our last day, truly a home from home! It was my son's birthday while we were there and he was presented with a surprise birthday cake from Lula and her family, it made his day! Nothing was too much trouble for the any of the staff, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We often ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We also used the self-catering facilities on many occasions, which were great, everything we needed to cook a decent meal was provided. We had a large balcony and often sat there in the evenings with a glass of wine enjoying the view of the sunset and of lemon and lime trees. The pool is great, the children loved it, the beach is within walking distance and there's a kids playground near the beach. The airplane noises didn't bother us, we didn't even notice them after the first day. Kremasti's center is within walking distance with plenty of shops and cafes/restaurants to choose from, also there are regular buses leaving from opposite the church to Rhodes throughout the day. This holiday was truly wonderful, we will never forget it and we will definitely be back!!

We stayed at the Anseli for a week & had a great time. As other reviewers have stated, the family are very welcoming & helpful. The hotel is clean, comfortable & everyone we spoke to had visited before, which speaks volumes about the place.

The aircraft noise didn't bother us. We got a taxi from the airport on arrival which cost 12 euros, but on departure caught the bus at a cost of around 2.20 euros each. The buses run regularly & the journey itself takes a few minutes.

The pool area is so pretty, we spent many hours just relaxing there & reading & it was lovely.

We chose to visit the tavernas in Kremasti to eat at night, there are several around selling good food at a reasonable price. Kremasti itself is a small, very Greek, uncommercialised town with only a few tourists. We visited Rhodes town for the day but was glad to get back to the peace & tranquility of Kremasti.

All in all a wonderful holiday experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Get the bus to travel around... it's so close to the airport & only takes around 10 mins. B...
