My boyfriend and I, both 20, booked this hotel on a last minute Thomson deal from the 18 June 2014.

Positive points: brilliant staff, lovely food at reasonable prices, pool area always clean and lots of sun beds, room was basic but was clean and fine for a base, cheap and frequent buses in to Rhodes Old Town.

Negative points: Kremasti town not much to look at, nearby beach wasn't great, additional extras such as air con, wifi, safe, etc are quite expensive but we weren't there to use wifi anyway. The hotel is on the flight path, frequent planes landing at the airport noisy but we slept through the night fine.

Nevertheless, we both had a lovely holiday and would definitely consider returning in the future.

Stayed here for a week , very clean lovely apartment staff very friendly , plenty of sun beds around the pool , food brilliant would of liked something other than chips only minus amongst all the positive is the the equipment in kitchen for self catering very random , one tiny sauce pan , one huge a frying pan and a strainer , would recommend for a nice chilled peaceful week away !!!

Arrived at the hotel late on Saturday(14th June) to find that they had finished food at 10.30pm. Was told by Dominic, one of the bar staff that they would cook us something, nice start to the holiday. Was always greeted by him and the other barman George, with a smile. Always happy to see you even if you was down for one drink only. Was there for the first week of the World Cup, and they manned the bar until the last person left, sometimes 5am or later.

Air con was additional at a bit pricey 45 euros for the week, so didnt bother. Wifi was extra for 30 Euros for the week or 6 per 24 hours( although you only got 23 1/2 hours, no one explained why. Cant really comment on the food in the hotel as we were s/c, but it did seem a bit pricey for some of the dishes, but they did seem to be always busy in the kitchen.

Area was a bit run down in Kremasti, but the beach was only 5 mins away, albeit on that side of the island most beaches were quite stony. There was a EuroSpar supermarket 2 mins walk away and a couple of little supermarkets next door to the hotel. Buses were every 20 mins from the top of the road in Rhodes Town(2.30 euros single trip), and a reasonably priced 14 Euros for a taxi for the same trip.

A couple of things that didnt impress me was that my bottom bed sheet wasnt changed the whole time I was there, even after mentioning it to the receptionist.
Also, rather than pay for a late checkout, we relaxed by the pool on our last day. Then found out that there were no courtesy rooms for leaving guests to shower and change, all there was for us were a couple of toilets which we couldnt lock. You are also directly under the flight path for Diagoras Airport, but after the first night, you hardly seem to notice the planes as you get used to them.

Overall a nice little Hotel with friendly staff, just a couple of things that stopped it from being a perfect holiday location

Room Tip: Rooms at rear of Hotel are quieter, but view is not good. And you get the sun on your balcony all mo...

I picked this holiday as it was cheap and in a good location for touring the island. The beach isn't great, but there are so may beautiful places to go: Lindos, Charaki, Old Town, Anthony Quinn Bay, Petaloudes (Butterflies), Prassonissi, Kallithea, Kamiros etc etc. We hired a car for 20 euros per day, but the bus costs 2.20 euros per person each way to town. The chap from Rio car rental (opposite Emerald) was really nice and a pleasure to do business with.

The apartments are basic. You have to pay 25 euros for the safety deposit box, 80 euros for air-con and 30 euros for a late check out. There was no shelf in the door of the fridge which was annoying as we had nowhere to keep tall bottles of wine/milk cold. I was disappointed that our bed linen was only changed twice in 2 weeks, it was changed on day 3, then on day 11 I complained and they were changed. The towels were changed a bit more, but sometimes the cleaners would just hang up the filthy ones I'd left on the floor! The bathroom door didn't close properly, but it was fixed quickly. A lot of bulbs around aren't working. The cleaners didn't clean very well in my opinion, but I am fussy. The water was cold if you showered after 6.30pm. I can't comment on the pool as never went there, opting to tour this beautiful island all day and night.

The staff are nice and friendly, although the boss lady with the yapping dog is not as warm and friendly. (She may be the owner).

NO FREE WI-FI! Everywhere else has free wi-fi though.

We didn't eat there, but had the odd drink. (We may have drank more there if there was free wi-fi. Our apartment faced a lot of the others, so when on the balcony there is no privacy and I felt like I was in a goldfish bowl. I asked the owner twice if we could move, but she said no as they were apparently full, which I didn't believe.

So, all in all, I think that it's pretty good value, and a good base to explore the island by car, buus or moped.

All I will say is judge the place for yourself but when you meet people that have been returning for 20years, you know its a great place. From day 1 to day 12 we was treated like family. From the maids to the outstanding chef's (theo you are a amazing) from great reception staff to the best 4 bar staff (demi, dominik, spiros and george) thank you all so much for making our holiday so special. Like so many others we will come back next year.
Miss you all
Darren

Negs: We were expecting an apt overlooking the pool as shown on Thompson website and brochure, with "some air traffic noise". We had an apt in block in a square of other blocks with balconies facing on all sides and directly under flight path. Yep, planes flew right over apt block. Beach not what you expect from a Greek Island either.
Pos: Very short transfer time. Lovely friendly staff, fab pools with plenty of sunbeds, great food and restaurant area. Handy supermarket close by and larger one a short walk. Good for visiting Rhodes Town. So if room location, sandy beach and peace not top of your list, go for it! Take a torch if you like to read at night as no wall/bedside lights (ok, maybe not important, but we are in our 50's!)

Room Tip: Top floor may get more plane noise. Balconies facing towards sea are more private. Apartments overlo...

Great holiday we would have no hesitation in staying here again, there is nothing we can
complain about this hotel, very clean and the staff are all fantastic, friendly and good fun, the
food in the restaurant is also very good, a very relaxed place no fighting for sun beds round pool which makes a nice change. we would recommend staying here.

Room Tip: we had an upstairs room over looking the pool no problems
