“Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2012

We visited recently and tried the evening menu. The menu was varied and the food was excellent. There was a great atmosphere in the place and everyone seemed to be having a great evening. The fact that such care had been taken with the food probably explains why the service was slow. The music was a bit too loud for me and I will not be able to return as often as I would like as it is too expensive.

“Good little find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2012

Called in for a drink and a quick bite to eat; just off the main street. Vibrant atmosphere and very popular judging by the number of people in.

Ordered Bacon & Brie sandwich and homemade broccoli and pea soup with lovely wheaten bread from the extensive and very tempting menu. Managed to resist a great range of deserts!

Food we had was made-to-order and very good - around £10 including hot drinks. Certainly recommended if you're looking for a quick or lunchtime bite; would be interested to try evening menu if we got the chance.

“Perfect for lunch and a chat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2012

This is one of my favourite spots for a lunchtime panini. There's a good choice of fillings on offer for paninis and wraps, as well as soups and a hot daily 'special'. It's always busy, which makes for a good buzz, but the screening divider down the centre gives a relaxed, private feel, the tables are spacious and the soft leather chairs very comfortable.
I really like their system of choosing and paying at the counter as this means you don't have to wait about trying to catch a server's eye when it's busy. It also means you can go at your own convenience after you've eaten since you don't have to wait about to pay. Paninis and wraps come with attractive sides of rice and pasta salad which dress it all up nicely without making it too heavy. However busy, the staff never make you feel rushed once you've finished eating and if you're inclined, it's a relaxed atmosphere for a leisurely chat.
I've never been disappointed with lunch here, but I have to confess I've never got beyond the cranberry, bacon and brie panini - because it's so nice!!!

“Quality produce”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2012

Larne may not be most people's idea of somewhere to go for a decent meal but chef mark and his team raise the bar with this establishment. He sources high end produce which is reflected in the price you pay but the quality is superb. Meats in particular are the stand outs from a varied and seasonal menu. The byo policy ensures a reasonable bill and the need to book for weekend tables well in advance speaks for itself.
