“Beautiful drive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Just spent 2 hours taking the costal drive out of Larne, rather than the usual direct inland route, granted we had a perfect day, weather wise, mill pond conditions, sun setting. Made a few stops along the way, fish and chips in Carnlough, taking in the views across to Rathlin from the excellent vantage point above Whitepark Bay, absolutely fantastic drive.

“One of the top 10”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

Its difficult to review a coastal drive because everyone will enjoy a different experience of the landscape and scenery - I will mention the Giants Causeway which was our starting point and which is well worth a visit we then followed the route to the Rope Bridge at Ballintoy then on to the Bonmargy Friary- We stopped for lunch at Glenarm- a picturesque little harbour-where we found the Cranny Falls- well worth the 1.5km walk from the car park.
The coastal route takes the driver through a variety of landscapes-the sea is as calm as a mill pond the hilly glens with little streams and wild flowers and through pretty villages. Lots of places of interest to stop off along the route.

“A top attraction for visitors to Northern Ireland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

We were advised to travel the coast roast from Larne heading towards Londonderry. There were some amazing views of offer. Sometimes, the road was right next to the sea. At other times, it went through charming countryside or over rugged cliffs. I would suggest that you take your time to do this journey - 2 days minimum as there is so much to stop and visit on the way

“a brilliant road”

For a day out or a sunday drive it is hard to beat this route up along the North east Coast- If you can make it past larn and head in the direction of ballycastle then you are rewarded with magnificient views as you drive. The road is narrow and twisty at places, but it is still a pleasure to drive.

“AMAZING !!”

Unbelievable trip, travelling the coast road from Larne to Giants Causeway. My only regret is that I didn't have time to do the scenic route for part of the journey. A must must must do for anybody travelling to Northern Ireland
