They have a unique item here I travel to use - copies of the Larne Times newspaper on microfilm. I read the papers from the World Wars, looking for particular people. The machines have now moved out into the main area, so you can't work as comfortably as you used to in a darkened room. Still, it's a great resource. Oddly you have to ask for a key before you can access the toilet. You can't fault a place where everyone is welcome, and most everything (except CD and DVD hire, I think) is free. Free computers, and you can even book a computer use lesson. For a small fee you can get print-outs, and there's a scanner, fax machine and photocopier, also. Free newspapers. You can hire 9 books at a time with a library card. Compared to some branches this one is very spacious. It's all on a level. Various events happen there also. The staff are good.
