“Not for families!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2010

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Flora Apartments in Protaras. We were slightly apprehensive as the price was very reasonable compared to lots of the other hotels. We were pleasantly surprised as the apartment was spacious and clean. There was only a tiny pool, but that was not a problem as you was allowed to use the all inclusive pool at the sister hotel, which was only a stones throw away. However, the problem began when it was time to go to bed. We would get in at approximately midnight, sometimes slightly later, and thought that the noise would probably start dying down around that time. How wrong I was as it got so much louder! If you are put in to room 106 do not even bother to unpack - just refuse to stay there. The room was right next door to The Greenery, which is an irish pub. I think that the owner thinks that he is running a nightclub rather than a pub. The music was so loud that your pillow would vibrate. What made things worse was that around midnight the kareoke would start. It was so loud that you felt as if you was in the middle of the bar yourself. We put up with it for several nights, thinking that it would get better or we would get used to it, but it just got worse. In the end we complained to the manager and managed to get two one bedroom apartments rather than the two bedroom one that we had originally booked. The new rooms were still very noisy but you could cope with it. I would like to warn people as when we booked our holiday it was classed as 'Ideal for families and couples' There is no way that this hotel should be advertising this. If it was advertised for the young and lively it would be perfect for them, as the daytime is very quiet. . The apartments themselves are fine, but if you want to sleep before 3 a.m. do not book this hotel!

The flora apartments protaras cyprus just been on a 2 week holiday with my husband my 17yr old daughter and 6 yr old son, basically if you want a disco in ur room every night till 2am these are for you the greenery pub is right next door and plays very loud music on a night so take ear plugs seriously oh and i felt like i was sleeping on a speedway track at 3am every morning with the motor bikes whizzing past, the apartments are very clean got fresh towels every day, some of the ceiling plaster fell down on the last day and just missed my sons head, the plug socket where the kettle was come away from the wall, had a power cut for an hour 1 night, my cousins son got stuck in the lift for half an hour so yes very nice indeed, we went half board so we ate in the antigoni hotel down the path and i must say the food is fantastic best ever would stay there defo tsokkos hotel food very nice, and we could use both pools, so on a last note really this would be an ideal hotel for an 18 to 30's with the noise....

we should have been in the Tsokkas Flora apartments along with quite a few other holiday makers but 5 days before we were due to go we were informed that it was not yet open.We were put in the Antigoni hotel next door to the Flora ,THANK GOODNESS. The Tsokkas Flora is right on the main strip in Protarus but it is above several bars and restaurants which trade until about 4am each night . This means that the front of the Flora will be very noisy. The back of the hotal apartmenst overlooks a small pool which at the moment contains dark green stagnant water,The pool area is surrounded by an overgrown peice of land on 3 sides and a shale carpark on the other. There is no real privacy around the pool. I cannot comment on the interior as we didn't stay there. At the moment there are no signs of any preparation to make it ready for this season at all.I just want to warn people taaaahat for the forseeable future I do not think it will be accommodating anyone although bookings are being taken for it and I feel that people are being mislead.
