Stayed here for 11 nights from 12-23 September, first impressions were good very clean and modern and helpful receptionist. We were able to check straight in, was very impressed with the size of the rooms although instead of a double bed it was two singles pushed together and could have done with some more coat hangers. The kitchen was clean and all the basics, the bathroom was also modern and clean. The apartments were cleaned daily and towels changed not sure whether that was because we left the please clean sign on the door every day. We were disappointed as we were on the right side we never had any sun on our balcony. The pool had plenty of sun beds on the grass, we even went down to the pool about 12 one day and were plenty of sun beds. The pool was lovely and often quite although I think they should have the Jacuzzi on more often as we didn’t get to use it much. The food round the pool was fine and reasonably priced.

We only went to the beach twice, Fig tree bag is definitely a lot nicer and cleaner although crowded. We hired sun beds and an umbrella for 7.50. We also ate in one of the cafes on the beach where the food was ok. The beach is about 10 minutes from the apartments,

The strip was lively and only a 5 minute walks, there were some lovely restaurants but some not so good! One night we went to an authentic Greek restaurant which looked nice from the outside but service was really poor and the food was awful! My partner ordered pork kebab and it came out pink he then reordered chicken which was also pink, as for the 'roast potatoes' they tasted like they had been soaked in vinegar. Also steer clear of pizza hut very overpriced at 20 Euros for two small pizzas and two drinks just for lunch! and then the manager was very rude.

We also vested the magic dancing water show, a good experience but not sure it was worth the 22 Euros each!

We also visited the waterworld waterpark through Thomson with a free transfer, the water park was good fun but we had done all the rides by lunchtime.

All in all we had a very good and relaxing holiday the weather was amazing even in September definitely will return to Cyprus! just maybe somewhere different.

just got back from two weeks at the hotel and loved it. we checked in at 2am and it was fast and organised. We were B+B the breakfast was nice my only gripe is that i would of prefered buffet breakfast as i paid 5.50 a day for us each but only 2 of the breakfasts were this amount so if i wanted something else i wasnt quite getting what i paid for but other then that the food was lovely and the staff always smiling. the room was massive with a seperate living area from the bedroom (although we had 2 singles together which again is only a small gripe but a double would of been nicer) and was cleaned regulerly. The main areas were also very clean and the other half played vollyball and water polo in the pool with a few others. Plenty of sunbeds and the hotel is about 5 mins walk from the strip and lidl is 1 min away (litterally next door) loads of places to eat on the strip but our fav place was the red indian which was if you come out of the hotel and walk right its about 5/10mins away, nice enough food but more so for the atmosphere it was nice and friendly and we went there 4 times, mainly for the cherry baby cocktail :) also bit further up from here is a beautiful church on a hill (im not religious but its beautiful and best to go on the evening as its lit up and lovely views, i got engaged here :) the beach is about 10mins from the hotel but we prefered fig tree bay which is further down the beach nice for a bit of snorkling. The bus to ayia napa is on the main strip and only 1 euro each way and when you come back it drops you outside the hotel and it runs till 4am. the re is brilliant and really knows the area. if we return to protaras i would stay here again and will deffinatly recommend.

Room Tip: pool view is lovely for the view but sometimes entertainment is on till 12:30 am so depends if you are going to be wanting to sleep before then

Just returned from Brilliant Apartments, Protoras, Cyprus. The name is accurate for this complex, it is brilliant. On arrival reception staff was very polite, outgoing and check in was straight forward. The pool area is cleaned thoroughly every other day, swept, washed down, all glass cleaned etc. The apartments are spacious, bright and cleaned every day except for changeover, Sundays. We had room 133 which had sea view and pool view, it was lovely. All staff we met were cheerful, helpful and chatty. The location was really good, 5 minute walk to the strip where you will find lots of nice eating places and bars. We enjoyed the Japenese restaurant in Eden Square its not just sushi as many people think, they cook, meats, fish, rice and vegatables in front of you, they put on a very good show just for you. We also enjoyed the Raj Indian, it was very good and their chicken curry (specialities) was one of the best curries I have had in a long time, it was very authentic.
If we had one issue it was the loud music around the pool area, it was never turned down, even when no one was around the pool. We used to like to sit on the balcony and listen to our own music but this was drowned out by the music from the pool area. Also the music was on a loop system so you heard the same songs every day.I think they should turn the music down from 5pm to 8pm so people can sit on their balcony and enjoy. The management may say that if you have the pool view then you expect the noise, but I dont think you should be penalised for having a beautiful view instead of one overlooking Lidl which you could not hear the music. This was our only gripe other than that well done to all staff, Brilliant Hotel is just as it says Brilliant. Gareth and Maggie

Room Tip: Pool and Sea views really good, just ask
