Stayed from 25 May to 08 June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were fabulous throughout. Special mentions to Eva, Katka and the other ladies on reception for their smiling, cheerful help. Our room (306) overlooked the car park but we also had a lovely view of the bay too. The rooms are relatively well appointed and the bed has to be the most comfortable I have ever slept in, apart from my own. Now to the restaurant and the jewel in the Sea Breeze crown - George, Maitre d' Extraordinaire! George's calm and smiling countenance greeted us each meal time and he manages a well drilled team of staff who are welcoming, polite and willing but they soon know if they've not cleaned away in timely fashion with a simple word or nod from George. The food is buffet style with plenty of choice. A chef is always on duty at the restaurant grill doing pancakes or omelettes at breakfast and specials for lunch and evening sessions. Although casual wear is accepted at breakfast and lunch, gents please be aware that long trousers are to be worn at dinner! Our thanks also to Marios, George's counterpart and to all of the staff in the restaurant and the kitchen who work so tirelessly but were always smiling. There is a great salad bar with a wonderful variety of prepared salads along with the staples of olives, tomatoes, peppers, etc. There is only tuna to choose from on the salad cart itself, but there is normally something hot on the grill to compliment things. My only suggestion would be that for breakfast it would be nice to have hash browns available each morning rather than fried potatoes/chips.
There is a lovely pool with an abundance of sun-loungers not only around the pool but on the grass which stretches down towards the sea. Not being pool people, we preferred the short walk to Sirena Bay or a hop on the bus to the beaches of Pernera, Konnos or Sandy Bay in Ayia Napa. Being as the bus is 5 euros for unlimited travel and you can get on and off as often as you like all day long, getting out and about is very easy.
Our thanks too to the Entertainment Team headed by the lovely Emma and the in-house duo of Benn and Amy (Red Lips) for keeping us entertained throughout our stay. If you have the opportunity to be around for Emma singing the show-tunes and a little opera you will be in for a wonderful surprise.....
We really cannot fault our stay, there are bound to be a few teething/fine tuning problems due to the hotel only opening, following refurbishment, on 03 May however, these are trivial and if you should encounter any problems whatsoever, the team are generally very quick to resolve them.
All-in-all, we cannot wait to return which is the greatest endorsement we can give. So, once again our thanks to all at the Sea Breeze and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
