“Nice, calm hotel with laidback staff”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

Spent two weeks at this hotel in October 2013 and found it calm and laidback. The beachfront location (unfortunately, the beach is pretty much limited to a stoney pier - there's a sandy beach right next to the hotel, but it doesn't belong to the hotel) about half a kilometer from the city center of Paralimni offers a calm cul-de-sac (with tons of stray cats) in walking distance from pubs and clubs.

Very friendly, laidback staff, excellent housekeeping and very up-to-par security. Very friendly receptionists.

The food is okay, only one restaurant at the hotel, but there are several restaurants in the city closeby.

Not enough pool chairs, which get filled up at a surprisingly early hour - some as early as five am. If you want a chair relatively close to the pool, I suggest you get up early.
More chairs on the lawn between the restaurant and the bar/pool area.

The sports/entertainment team really tries to keep guests engaged - evening entertainment at the small pool bar (only bar) is pretty much jammed with people.

The local busses to Ayia Napa and Protaras frequent the busstops not far from the hotel often, and it's well worth the short busride to shop or a night out.

Also recomment the diving shop that's located right next to the hotel - excellent diving excursions and very friendly staff!

Room Tip: The rooms with ocean view are preferred. Slightly thin walls, so be prepared to participate in the l...

Stayed a week at pernera beach hotel in october.First time we have done all inclusive. What a fabulous time we had.The room was lovely, airy and clean. The staff couldnt do enough, they were so polite and friendly. As for the food it was presented beautifully, hot and very tasty. The salads were so fresh and the desserts were to die for.Loved it so much we have booked to go back in May and October. This hotel seems to mainly cater for the over 50s,which suits us fine

Room Tip: Watch the amazing sunset from the west side.

We stayed here June 2013 and have just booked again for 2014. We were looking for a nice area not clubby but with just a bit to walk around of a evening, with nice small coves rather than large noisy beaches and good snorkeling. This definitely ticked all the boxes and more. This was our first time all inclusive with our 2 sons aged 12 & 9 and we had a fantastic time. The views from the balcony were amazing although the non sea views overlook an abandoned site so worth upgrading. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the entertainment was also good. We are both qualified divers so it was an amazing bonus that there is a super friendly dive school next door to the hotel, that comes into the the hotel pool and offers free trials in the pool. They are brilliant with children (and adults) and we were able to take them diving in the sea for the first time with their instructors. We are returning this year for them to complete their qualifications. Just a tip about the beach area, cyprus in general has rocky coastline which is sharp underfoot so beach shoes are a good idea.

Room Tip: Sea view high floor for good views

We returned from Panera Beach after a week there over November half term. We had an absolutely brilliant time. The hotel was clean, situated right next to the beach, and we had a fabulous view of the sea from our room, and the staff could not do enough for us. They hotel was closing for the end of season on the day we left, but even so, there was not reduction in the quality of the food or entertainment. The children loved the minidisco, which was on every night and actually varied the songs on a nightly basis!

This was the first time we have done all inclusive as we were concerned it might be a bit repetitive, but actually there was a good variety of food, and very handy having drinks and ice cream "on tap".

Loved this hotel, and will definitely go back!

First the bad points...if your are travelling as three don't book this hotel you are crammed into a room that is clearly only intended for two, there is not enough space to put your clothes when there are three of you, if you complain you get offered a bigger room which is clearly for three people but it's at the rear of hotel overlooking a building site! If you want the same room at the front they want more money. The bathroom has only enough room for one person to stand in it it's extremely small and there is no where to put your toiletries they have to remain in your bag on the floor!!! On having said this the hotel was clean staff very friendly the beach is not a part of the hotel it's a public beach and is much nicer than the swimming pool. Entertainment was average. Local busses are easy to catch and Nissi Beach and fig tree bay worth a visit. Taxis are good too if you like to haggle you can get price down to as cheap as bus for three of you. As a couple I may go again but not with our daughter again.

We just caught some autumn sun over half term and this was our first trip to Cyprus. The Pernera Beach has a great location right on the beach. The rooms were well appointed, and the communal areas all very nice. The all inclusive food was really great - super selection of hot and cold buffet. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful apart from the bar staff who all seemed terribly unhappy in their work - so much so we felt awkward going to get a drink from the bar! Nevetheless a great place to stay. Oooo, and they have the most comfortable hotel beds ever!
