just back from a 2 wk family holiday stayed in the apts in tsokkos gardens the apts were really spacious and were cleaned every day. the staff were very helpful and friendly and wud help u anyway they can. the credit has to go to the entertainment reps emma, sammi, luke and carrie, they did their jobs brillantly and were very friendly with all the guests and always had a smile for everyone even though the heat was unbearable. the shows they put on at nite were fun and enjoyable and credit has to go to carrie who had just joined the reps two days previous to us and it was as if she had been with them a long time, luke was a really good singer and doesnt realise how good he is well done to u all. i wud definetly recommend this complex to anyone they wont be disappointed

We had a fabulous 10 days all inclusive holiday at the Tsokkos gardens apartments in Pernera near Protaras. The apartments are a little dated probably more a 3* than a 4* they could do with a refurb, but they were very spacious and plenty of cupboards drawers etc, the maid didn’t always leave enough towels for the 3 of us, so a quick word in the receptionist ear and we got our towels. There is air conditioning in the rooms which kept the rooms quite cool very good job as it was very stifling at night times there is also a safety deposit box which you have to pay for and a fridge. The main hotel is very clean with a massive lobby area with big comfy sofas we even had a big screen TV for the world cup!!.
The entertainment and all meals are held in the hotel which takes you less than 2 minutes to walk to. There were three swimming pools, nice size and the water was very warm. Overlooking the hotel is a tiny St Elias church on a hill that is lit up beautifully on a night, there is quite a lot of steps up to it I didn’t do the trip up due to my disability, but did hear that it is without a definite must see!
The meals were nice enough, breakfast was a bit repetitive, but still nicely cooked, a nice selection for lunch different every day, nicely laid out with different sauces etc. The evening meals are served in a separate room to breakfast and lunch, they had different themed nights, Greek, Carvery, Italian, International etc always a meat and salads and there’s a children’s corner for the young ones, chips and beans if they wanted! No complaints really over the food. After all, if you want to choose what you’d like to eat, then go self catering!
One thing that did bug me was no-one seems to keep to rules of dress code for the evening meal it asks for men to wear long trousers not shorts, it’s not very nice when other people seem to try. Nickolas the restaurant manager was very friendly and helpful as was all his staff showing you to your table and then taking your drinks orders.
Snacks were available from the poolside bar from 10.30am until 5pm Angela who works in the poolside bar is a very very friendly lady. We hired a car for 3 days and hired a cool box. There were unlimited hot, soft and local alcoholic drinks from 10am till midnight and unlimited ice creams for the children during the same time, which was a blessing as it was so hot.
The pools was very nice, we didn't have to get up early at all to get a sunbed, there was 3 pools to sunbathe around, we chose the one near to the apartments as it was a lot quieter an you can do length swimming if need be, I did a fair few throughout the stay. There are plenty of sunbeds with umbrellas available all around all the pools and on the grass banking.

There was plenty to do in the day if you wanted to join in you could, plenty of activities for all ages. The night entertainment was the great Emma, Sammi, Luke and Carrie (who only came 4 days into our stay) she fitted in so well anyone would have thought she had been part of the team from the start!! They all do a great job.
The daytime activities are usually around the main pool (only if you wanted to - no harassment) consisting of: Killer Darts, Killer Pool, Fun Fitness, Movie Time,Kids Water Polo, Water Polo, Water Volleyball, Lilo Racing mega funny. Luke was very very funny, he’s a star for the future Michael Buble watch ya back!! The team made a point of getting to know the holiday makers by name and this resulted in us meeting a lot of really nice people as you felt like you knew everyone there. It was a really friendly atmosphere.
The evening activities were kicked off with the 'Dizzy and Shades Shakedown' which is a good laugh and something for the kids, followed by Challenge the Entertainer a child asks an entertainer several questions which they made up in an attempt to win a sweets. The kids disco was so fun to watch. They also had professional people coming to perform too. The bingo was amazing, prizes ranged from €100 - €200 most nights, we were lucky enough to win €120 on our second night!! You even got a bottle of wine for winning the daytime quiz which we did one day (we aint brainy we had, had the same quiz in a hotel in Cyprus 2 months previously). If the children, especially the teenagers didn’t want to join in with what was going on, on the stage there were things like computers, snooker, and touch machines nearby for them.
The drinks were served very quickly. The staff were very friendly from Julie to Robert and Victor. There bar area was kept clean at all times. We did meet Colin the cockroach one evening, well what you expect in a hot country, he decided to take a walk up my partners leg, he brushed him off thinking he was a fly!! You should have seen his face when he saw Colin....There were waiter service so you didn't have to get up for a drink if you really didn't want to and they were quick to collect empty glasses

OVERALL, we had a great holiday I recommend this if you are looking for a fun, disco holiday where everyone dances on the stage to the hotel dance choclatta (probably spelt wrong, but fab dance). All the entertainment on the complex finishes at midnight so it is quiet enough to get to sleep ready for another fun packed day. If you do fancy going somewhere after the entertainment finishes then we would recommend the station pub is a 2min walk from the hotel, they have tribute acts on who are very good. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone and I am already looking at booking again for next year.
Overall I would recommend this hotel especially for couples and families with children over 10 and would give it 8 out of 10.

Our first time in cyprus and i can say that the hotel was the best part of the whole holiday! All i can say bout people who do not like this hotel is that they must be very hard to please. I am picky myself and the hotel was excellent, it was definately 4 star, From the moment we arrived, the usher was ready to take our bags from the coach up to our rooms for us. The rooms are nice and spacious, the decor is pretty basic but nice enough, and the balcony was lovely with a perfect pool view!! The pool was amazing, so big, which meant there was enough room for everyone, it was never too busy. There were also lots of sun loungers however what hugely annoyed me was that some people got up at god knows wot time to put their towels on the best loungers, even though this is meant to be banned! Nevermind though we always found one decent enough. Myself and my boyfriend were never out of the pool it was that lovely =)The reception area is all marble and looks very nice and posh. The staff are friendly but some dont have very good english. BEWARE of the lady on the pool snack bar! She is a joke, tries to rip you off all the time, i didnt report it because i didnt wanna be responsible for someone losing their job - but dont let her fool you she is dodgy! The entertainment team were great and even though we werent with kids it was always amusing to watch, they were very friendly and luke has a great voice! There are good modern computers with an internet that actually works, if u want to catch up on face book! =)Protaras is about a 25 minute walk along the beach front, but it is a pleasant walk, we often hired bikes to make it quicker. All in all we loved the hotel, staff were nice, rooms were nice, balcony lovely, pool fantastic, food was different theme every night which was a bit annoying but nice every time we had it. WE WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING SOMETIME ! dont let some of the reviews put u off!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here all inclusive for one week. The hotel itself was ok but to be honest we were expecting a little better as we paid quite alot for the holiday.
If you want to go into Protaras town its about a 20 minute walk but that didnt bother us.
The hotel room was ok but the beds were quite hard but the bathroom was nice. The entertainment was a bit naff but after a few drinks you warm to it. Also the entertainment area was quite small and you need to get down there in plenty of time to get a seat. Sometimes the bar did get quite busy especially just before the all inclusive ended so be prepared for a bit of a queue.
The real problem was the food. Breakfast and lunch could be worse but dinner was awful. We did try to force ourselves to eat it but it got to the point where we just had to go elsewhere for dinner.
Overall a ok holiday but id choose elsewhere to go

We went to the Tsokkos Gardens Apartments in May this year all inclusive. Can't fault anything. The apartment was clean as was the whole complex, with clean towels every day. The food was excellent with a different themed meal each night with plenty of choice. Staff couldn't do enough to help and all in all was excellent value for money and would definitely go back.

The complex itself is within a smaller place about twenty minutes walk from protaras itself, but this meant that it was far quieter.

Just got back from a really relaxing enjoyable holiday, right from our arrival at the airport to the time we got back to uk, the service was excellent. The hotel and the Appartments were very clean the staff were freindly and always ready to help.
I would recommend going All enclusive this was well worth the money paid the facilities were great, the food was outstanding.
The entertainment team made our holiday they were EXCELLENT they put so much effort in with the children and adults alike they knew the names of all the kids and their energy was great, they were very freindly and the entertainment that was laid on first class, Every thing they produced was definately better than that of Butlins rejects! thanks to Emma, Smmie, Luke and Carrie for a really great holiday a credit to Thomas Cook.
I would definately go back again.
