We decided to take a short (5-day) holidays at Protaras and was glad to see that here were vacavices at this hotel, since its location is great and we had less than a month to book.
We were really disappointed just by the lok of the hotel, when we got there. It was the poorest lookin 4-star hotel that I visited ere in Cyprus. Anyway, we were told about our rooms at the reception (family of 6, 2 rooms). These were fine. But as the exterior, the interior was old as well but could live with it. There was WiFi and a safe box in each of the rooms. However, we had to pay EXTRA for these! the WiFi was by the hour or the day and was quite expensive. The safe box was about 15 euros to pay for a passcode in order to be able to use it...
On the bright side, the entertainment put on by a couple of representatives by a UK tour company (Thomas Cook I think) was good and kept especially the children busy by the pool, playing games. And ofcourse, the proximity of thehotel to the magnificent beach (about 100m down the road) was another plus.
However, I would prefer paying something more in order to get the service I was told I would be offered, without the "hidden extras". And ofcourse, a good renovation (at least a paint job) would be necessary.

The reception staff was rude and unhelpful
The room key cards were printed the wrong way
The room had stained carpets
The TV only worked for 3 days
The walls were paper thin and you could hear light switched being turn on and the lift going up and down all through the night.
The Lift also kept break-in down.
Restaurant:
The food was cold, bland and the same every night.
We ate in the restaurant from the Wednesday in till the Friday night as every time I ate the food it made me vomit.
There was only 1 waiter in the restaurant waiting to seat you.
There were cats begging for food in the restaurant on a lunch time.
Hotel Facilities:
The massage room was located in a different hotel
The sauna room never existed
The bar staff were rude, unhelpful.
Value for money what a joke!!!
I would never go back worst hotel i have ever stayed in!

We travelled to Tsokkos Beach with 6 teenagers and this is the first hotel where the entertainment put on by the two Thomas Cook Reps (Malky and Leanne) was brilliant and all the kids and adults loved it!!! They really made the hotel, great team work (shame they have to go to seperate hotels next season) water polo and other games all day and singing and game shows, etc every night but Sunday. Thanks Malky & Leanne for managing to keep 6 teenagers entertained :) Hotel is a little dated but very clean and comfortable, air con that works and food was great with a fair choice changing daily. Bar staff very effeciant and friendly. It is in a pretty good area too, you can walk to the main stirp easily with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. A bus service runs for an all day pass of only 2 euros and you can get on and off at will. Recommend snorkling in Fig Tree Bay (15 minute walk from hotel). Farmagusta is a must, take John's taxi he used to live there!. Also if you want to go to Waterpark John's Taxi will do free transfers to and from at whatever time you want if you purchase tickets through them (no extra charge). We all really enjoyed our stay, odd rooms are best with pool and sea views. Pool not massive but bog enough and clean.

Room Tip: Odd numbers give you sea and pool views, but entertainment goes on til midnight so if you have littl...

stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks 18th sept til 2nd oct.hotel could do with a bit of renovation in rooms stairwells and corridors, but all staff are great, polite, friendly and very hardworking at all times.restaurant is well run and always clean and tidy with great staff, food always good never a problem finding some thing nice to eat.pool area nice and great fun if you want to join in or just relax and soak up the sun.never a problem finding sun beds, despite the 6.30am brit brigade we are just as bad if not worse than the germans for saving beds.dont need to worry here plenty to go round.had a great day at ayia napa waterpark, great fun for all ages.many thanks to all staff at hotel for making this a great holiday for us.

Love Cyprus, great place. Hotel ok, in need of updating though especially the rooms. Maid was very good kept room really clean. Food a bit disappointing, variety ok but mostly only luke warm. Bar staff and reception very friendly. Pool area clean and plently of spare sunbeds even at 10am. Leanne and Malky were excellent with the children and the adult entertainment throught the day and night. Always stay in 4* or above and I would say this is only a 3*. Will definitely return to Cyprus but would choose a different hotel.
