Shocking the list could go on! But the main one is the lack of air con ! And what you do have will make you so sick once you are home! Air con is dirty with dust coming out of it once u get it working! The hotel need its stars taken off them to a 1 star' ( my mother once told me you only get what you paid for!)

a company of 10 friends (27 - 33 years old) stayed there between 1/7/2012 & 3/7/2012. We had asked for 2 (two) 3-persons rooms and 2(two) 2-persons rooms.Instead we were given 4 (four) 2-persons room with a small portable bed for children inn the 2(two) of them. Actually the 2 unlucky men who sleeped there didnt sleep more than 3-4 hours every night because they couldnt fit !!!
We complained and the only answer for 3 days was that all the rooms were like this.
Furthermore the first room we were given smell smoke and the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag so anyone can smoke without a problem.We complained since we had asked for a non smoking room and after a lot of talking on the phone with the reception, we were given the next door room wich was ok.
Also i have to remember that the bathtub was not working so well and it was not fixed at all.It was l little disgusting actually...
The best part is kept for the end of this review.
Although we were NOT given rooms for 3 persons, and although we asked 3 times the reception about our final price for all the rooms we had booked (different persons in different times and so different receptionists answered including the front office manager), the price during the checkout was higher ! We managed to spent 2 hours of our morning in order to find who told us what and finaly we payed 137 each night instead of 150 for 2 nights we were told for the 2+1 persons rooms. The sma ehappened with the 2 persons rooms.

We were 10 persons, visiting for friends wedding there and the manager was trying to prove that the 10 of us were either liers or lunatics.

These incidents were referred to the responsible authorities since we keep on believing that we were not treated nice and that the hotel doenst worth the money we payed....

Location = Perfect. 2 minutes walk from beach and Restaurants
Pool = Large, clean, but some tiles missing, or loose. I used the pool only few times because the beach next to the hotel is AWESOME!!!
Staff = Some staff ok, some not
Food = Average
Room = OK
Entertainment team = OK
Would go again? = Maybe, because of the location.

Arrived 27th June 12 during a staff strike. Bedroom was disgusting, dirty tiles disgusting dirty overflow in bath, The overall condition of the hotel is very shabby and in my opinion it is only a 2 star. Staff and entertainment team are great and this is the only good point. I read other reviews and those that rate this hotel must be half blind. We would never recommend this hotel to anybody, it needs a complete overall as it is very dated. The worst hotel we have sayed in. The air conditioning in the bedroom was useless. The games room had holes in the floor and missing ceiling tiles which seem to have been missing for months according to other reviews. Tiles in the pools loose and missing. Whilst the staff and entertainment team were great they did not compensate for the state of this hotel. A few ear infections reported during our say. The Thomas cook rep was not at all helpful and we had to ask for a complaints rom to fill in. The rep actually run out of forms so this tells you something. I could go on and on but I have just sent my 4 page complaint letter to Thomas Cook.

Room Tip: Book another hotel

How Thomas Cook can have sold us this holiday as a 4 star hotel is beyond me... Ive stayed in more luxorious tents!!
We paid £2800 for 2 adults & 2 children expecting reasonable accomodation
Rooms are not suitable for families - not enough room for additional beds/cots - why was this not mentioned. Room was dated which to be fair we were expecting after reading earlier reviews but we did not expect them to be in the condition they were - bathrooms discusting with cracked floor tiles (sharp) mould in tile grout... faulty taps... constantly running toilets and dirty air conditioning that blew out more dust than cold air... the whole family developed bad chests/coughs shortley after entering the room. I know you dont live in your room on holiday - but I stress again the 4 star rating... Id have been upset If Id have booked this thinking it was 2 star!
Once you get over the shock of your room dont expect to be comfatable while using any of the hotels facilities as the stifiling heat is too much to handle - no air conditioning (not that I would have wanted the same blown dust system we had in the rooms).
Pool area and resteraunt were ok - nothing special but no complaints.
Reception staff rude and unhelpful
Bar Staff & Resteraunt Staff good
Thomas Cook entertainment staff excellent

I know Im not alone here as 7 other familes put in complaint forms while we were there.. how people can rate this hotel is beyoned me... I can only presume they dont get out much!

Still love Cyprus.... but please please please rate this hotel as it deserves... 2Star at the best

Room Tip: No good rooms from what we saw!!

when we arrrived at the Tsokkos beach hotel at 6pm we walked into a 2 day strike which meant our rooms was not ready. We was givin our wrist bands and told to sit around the bar until our rooms would be ready. We was a party of 13 including adults, young adults, teenagers and a toddler and we needed 6 rooms and within an hour we was givin our keys our rooms had been cleaned although 3 of them still had dirty crocks on the balconys. the rooms are basic and small and in need of a upgrade for what little time we spent in them it was not such a problem. We went into dinner to find full service that we was not expecting from what other guests had told us. we all managed to find something to eat that suited us, my husband and daughter are fussy eaters but they still managed to find something every meal time. we met our rep Jo at the welcome meeting she had worked very hard with staff to get guests rooms ready we found her very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was large and plenty of sunbeds for everyone. there are a few loose tiles in the pool that could do with being replaced and a couple of umberellas need replacing. the bar staff are friendly and you was not waiting very long to be served, you do have to pay for botteld water on the all inclusive but if you gave them an empty bottle they would happily fill it for you. The entertainment team , Becca, Becky and Ainsley all work very hard all day and all night. We loved the Mr Tsokkos beach and entered our very own (dom) haha. The location is brilliant a two minutes walk to the main strip and a two minute walked to the beach where we found the power water sports team very friendly and always gave us a good deal. We had 14 nights and enjoyed every one of them over all for the money we paid for this hotel we had a fab holiday despite all the reviews about it and would return.we iove cyprus stayed at the iliada lastyear but found the locals take over on a weekend,didn't get that so much down tsokkos beach way.

Room Tip: All rooms with even numbers face the road and odd new face pool and sea view

We went to Tsokkos Beach the last week in May for 11 nights and paid £1700 for 3 of us. We love Cyprus and got married there several years ago, its a lovely place. We knew we wanted to be near the strip and also near the beach, especially Fig Tree Bay. However it is not cheap to stay in this area all inclusive, and after speding alot of time looking, It was a toss up between Odessa and Tsokkos Beach which are next door to each other. Odessa is clearly much nicer but came in £500 more, So we decided on the cheapest. We were nervous due to the reviews but to be honest i didnt think it was that bad at all. Yes as ALL reviews state ..the rooms need updating but i didnt think it it was that bad at all. Kids just get a fold up bed to sleep on but my daughter sleft fine and loved it! although, the rooms arent that big and are just made for the twin beds and with the extra bed there you dont have loads of room to get about. The reception area is nice and the dining area was recently renovated and is large, well air conditioned and is nice. The pool is big and plenty of sunbeds - (apart from when it was the water festival and the pool area was taken over!) Its 5 Euro per person to hire beach towels which you get back at the end of your holiday, so we had lovely fresh towels every day. The breakfast was just average, nothing extra special but enough to sort you out, same with the lunch. Dinner it was themed, such as oriental, greek, roast ... nice food but a couple of the nights it went very bland. Not much dessert to choose from. It wasnt the best food we have had abroad but we always found something to eat. Not much for kids though..nuggets and chips galore..which my daughter doesnt like either so we found it hard to find her things to eat!! Icecream is served at the pool side bar, great for the kids! We have no complaints about the drink and got our monies worth! Staff were nice and worked their bums off!! Riley the bar man was fantastic..always took the time to speck to me and my husband, and my daughter thought he was fab!! Chris the head waiter also made a great effort, and the maids did a amazing job too! The Entertainment was done by Ainsley and Becky - they did daily quizes and activities, and on a night there is a kids disco .They really got involved with the kids.. ainsley's face painting was especially good :) The rest of the entertainment was Bingo then the price is right but we never hung about for these and went out onto the strip every night. The hotel is situated 2 mins from the main strip where you have a choice of lively pubs with acts on, we like the Love Boat best which is about 20 mins away. The beach is 3 mins away and there is now a fantastic boardwalk right along the beach so you can go upto fig tree bay without any hassle - its so beautiful there and even when busy it still feels peaceful! They is also a park to the side of the hotel which is fab for young kids. We found this to be a family hotel.. only the odd couples without kids but otherwise there were mostly big groups. There are things that really need improving around the hotel ie. the fire hydrant that sticks out of the wall on the stairs, which i almost hit my head on! the lift is rubbish!! we stood for 15 mins for the lift when we were leaving with the cases and the lift just kept going past our floor so we had to take the stairs in the end! annoying! The all inclusive stops at 2pm on your last day.. which is terrible, especially when you are there until much later and its also 25 euro to keep your room on, fair too expensive!!!!!! We could probably have found lots of things wrong however - unlike others we dont go on holiday to spend our time walking around with a camera looking for things to moan about on here. Yes its alot of money to spend on this quality of hotel but you may as well make the best of it when there!!!!!! We never went to this hotel with our eyes closed, yes it is the lower end of all inclusive but it has plenty of good points too. would we go back? hmm maybe not but i wouldnt rule it out completely.

Room Tip: In May its still very cool on an evening - take a cardie !
