“Good holiday”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Travelled with my boyfriend for 10 days 4th-14th June.
Pretty much the same food every day we ended up eating out a few times even though we paid for all inclusive. I am a fussy eater and I always managed to find something to eat which was mainly pastas and chips which got boring. We found that the food was always cold and they just poured hot water into the dishes so the food was always soggy. We had a few decent meals which was definitely the lamb and fajitas. Breakfast was definitely the best but if you wanted a slice of toast you had to put it in the toaster about 25 times. You have to pay extra if you want Smirnoff, jack Daniels etc (the imported stuff) And couldn't stomach some of the house alcohol but the sex on the beach cocktails were very nice.
Rooms were very basic and are in desperate need of refurbishment. However we weren't too bothered as it was only a place to sleep. Maids cleaned every day and towels and bed sheets changed. Rooms were spotless. Our air conditioning broke but the moment we reported it we had it fixed straight away. I just can't understand why the rooms have carpet in such a hot country ? We had to leave our balcony doors open at night a few times. Rooms had a mini fridge, safe, tea and coffee facilities etc. we had a problem with a maid a few times who tried to come in the room early when we had a do not disturb sign left on the door. (Pretty annoying when you are hungover) don't bother watching the TV as the only English Channel is BBC world news. We paid for a pool view room and ended up getting an inland view.
staff are brilliant cannot fault them at all especially the entertainment staff (Danny, Georgina and Nicolette) bar staff are very nice too. However one of the girls behind the bar gave us tap water one day instead of clean water.. Good thing another girl was paying attention otherwise we would of been ill.
location was very good only a few minutes walk to the beach and main strip where all the shops and bars are and 2 supermarkets outside the front of the hotel.
entertainment was good especially the fire show but it's the same thing all the time.. We watched the fire show twice. However we went to aiya napa a few times which is only 1.50 on the bus (about half an hour away) they have a kids disco on EVERY night which the kids seem to enjoy.
Overall we enjoyed our holiday here and is generally a nice hotel but there are definitely nicer hotels in the area.

This is a pretty decent all round hotel but it is certainly not a 4*.

The hotel accommodation is split between 3 buildings - two rather modern (from what I could see from the outside with the glass balconies) but the main building (and the one we stayed in) is in serious need of a refurbishment. The rooms are very old fashioned with tired, musky carpets, rickety old furniture and cupboard doors hanging off the hinges. The room did have a working hair dryer, tea/coffee facilities, air con, safe and fridge though.

We had a bit of an issue with the cleaners. Although they did their best to do their job everyday unfortunately they were apparently a little too keen as on two separate occasions they woke us up by flinging the door open at 9.30am! I understand as this is an all inclusive establishment most guests are at breakfast at this time but they shouldn't assume this. They need to address this problem and provide some 'do not disturb' signs to hang up! I found an old dusty sock under the bed which made me feel a bit queasy and like perhaps the cleaners weren't doing a good a job as they appeared to.

The food in this hotel left a lot to be desired and along with the room really lets this place down. The breakfast was the worst of all the meals and we did not have it again after the first day (Protaras is cheap and tasty for breakfast in the bars/pubs down the road luckily!). The scrambled eggs at buffet were watery and bland. Toaster was painfully slow and kept jamming and the bacon very undercooked. Lunch was better, as were the snacks, but you can only have so much chips/pizza/nugget combos before feeling bored and very unhealthy! Dinner was hit and miss - some dishes were ok and some not ok at all. Always a good selection of breads and dips, cold pastas and salads but when I saw a fly land on an uncovered cold pasta dish I avoided this area for the rest of my trip and relied on the hot food which was as I said hit and miss and unfortunately often lukewarm at best. Meal times were seen as a necessity for us on this holiday and over quite quickly rather than being a really enjoyable experience. Needless to say we ate dinner out a few times on the strip.

The pool area I can't fault - very clean, spacious and plenty of sunbeds and music to keep you entertained.

Having to pay for wifi is something nowaways I find quite shocking, especially from a "4 star" - most pubs these days offer free wifi! It was €30 for 7 days but there were other tariff options.

The bar/entertainment/restaurant staff were very friendly and did their best but overall we did find we spent quite a bit of time away from the hotel. It didn't help that the location is excellent - just a few minutes from strip and beach, with so many cheap dining options and things to do nearby it was hard to stay in the hotel.

we went for a 14 night holiday, all inc with my 2 girls connie and Sophia and we couldn't have been more welcomed to this hotel enough, staff are great and very friendly.
great location for beach, shops and bars/restaurants.
the entertainment staff were fab with the girls (danny, nikolette and gerogina) and danny is great with his balls hahahah!!!! (bingo) and nikolette shacking her booty.
bar staff (martin, brigette, peter, ania) were very polite and great with every 1 and served very quick but watch out for the Russians they are very rude and push in.
restaurant got repetitive after a week so we went out a few nights which made a change but the staff were very fast to seat and get you drinks.
rooms very basic but what do you need you don't live in them.
last thing mr costa (manager) was the nicest manager ive ever met on a holiday and helped if we needed anything. oh and were sorry that connie said she liked her outing better than the hotel entertainment hahaha!! xx

Room Tip: we did have a pool view and over entertainment but was a bit noisey at night and finished at 11.30pm...

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights from the 28th May 2014. It is a really well managed hotel with a high presence of managers and happy staff. The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach and Protaras strip. Demetris who runs the restaurant is fantastic and so are the restaurant staff. Velisar was a joy to watch as he never stopped smiling. They are quick to seat you and bring you drinks. The food was great and there was plenty to choose from. Iakovos the head chef does an amazing job and has a great team of chefs who are out in the restaurant frequently making sure everything is just right. The lamb dishes were amazing. Our 10 year old daughter loved the pancake chef who let her flip her own pancakes and she really enjoyed the puddings too. The bar staff were also very efficient especially Peter, Martin and Brigitta. The all inclusive package is excellent value for money. The white wine was lovely and Martin makes a wicked Pina Colada. The entertainment is low budget however Danny's bingo is fantastic and so funny. 'We like!!!!!!!'. The best night of the week is Danny's Friday night fire show. Let's also not forget the lovely lady who made our beds every day with a smile on her face.

It's a fantastic hotel but such a shame that there were so many Russian's staying as they are very rude, ignorant and clearly have no sense of humour. So manors towards the staff wouldn't go a miss!!!!

Thanks very much to you all for a brilliant holiday, Jo, Mark and Laura. xxx

Me and my girlfriend travelled for a week between the dates of 31st May- 07June.

The hotel from reception, bar, cleaners, restaurant staff and last but not least the entertainment team! Danny, Nicolette and Georgina were brilliant with everyone and work very hard to keep the guests happy!

The bar staff work very hard and always have smiles on their faces! Special mention to Ania, Peter and Martin who were very generous with the spirit measurements ;).

The food in the hotel was ok but after a while it starts to get a bit boring but that usually happens when you go all inclusive. It was also nice to see that the hotel manager was always around and not hid away in the office like other hotels i've been to!

All in all this hotel has been fantastic and its also nice to see its right on the strip so you can go and have a good night out after the bar shuts in the hotel!

I would definitely come back here and the people we have met here will be friends for for a very long time!!!

Thanks for everything!!!

Mike and Danielle

Room Tip: Try and ask for a odd room number, it looks over the pool area!

We have been to Cyprus on many occasions and having a FAB hotel like Tsokkos Hotel makes a fantastic holiday.
First time we have stayed all inclusive, glad we did as the food was great, and you can eat all day long. Exceptionally clean rooms, poolside, dining area ETC.
Our holiday was made extra special by the fantastic staff - my daughter who is 10yrs was treated like a queen, by the amazing Dimitris (manager), the pancake man (who let her make her own pancakes), Danny the FAB, amazing, multi tasking, all rounder head of entertainment, and the lovely Georgina and Nicolett (hope you still have the bracelets).
A huge thanks to all the waiters/waitresses, bar staff and reception staff, who worked non stop, always happy and helpful.

Now all we have to do is get rid of the Russians, bring back the traditional Cyprus :)

Room Tip: We had a road view, but was lucky enough to see the sea. All good whatever you have.
