“No complaints after our 2nd visit.”
Reviewed 29 August 2009

We have been home for a week, after our second very sucessful holiday at this hotel. We have never met so may nice people on holiday ever - that is one thing you can say about this place, you are so relaxed and well looked after that everybody talks with everybody. We miss you Paul and Tash, The Dover 4, Ray, lisa and Lewis (and Peter Pipers) and Teresa and Family and her extended Welsh Gang .
Yes I will agree, parts of this hotel are in need of a lick of paint and a little TLC but that does not in any way detract from the service/food/cleaniness from all the staff who work here. Those who may complain and we and you know who you are (Toon Army) should in future book the 7 star hotel in Dubai or stay at home - book early !!
This is our 6th holiday in Protaras in a Tsokkos hotel and we have never had any cuase to complain - this hotel is in the middle of the strip seconds away from the beach, and my God what a beach, and from the night life too - you will love it.
Special mention to the Thomas Cook reps and entertainment team - you were fab and thumbs up for the swap box !!!

My partner and i went to the Tsokkos Beach hotel in june 09 cost us a fortune but we though we had heard so many nice things about the place and this was a four star hotel how could we go wrong ............. 1st mistake was not shouting from the rooftops on our arrival . We had nothing but trouble with our air con, we reported this several times and we were told this had been sorted . All we had was a warm wind blowing round the room no chill to the air at all and when the tempertures are in the 30's it no joke trying to sleep in a stuffy room ... you cant open the window as the aircon turns off not that thats a problem when your getting warm air ....the longer the holiday went on the more ill and tired we became .....i woke one morning in the heat to find my partner had resorted to sleeping on the balcony , At this i insisted to see the manager who we did get to see ...he has his office in reception with his own nice cool seperately ran air con unit so hes nice and cool.. i suggested that he puts the same units in the hotel rooms but he just laughed the suggestion off ...i think he thought i was joking ... i so wasnt .. once i insisted that he come to the room and see what heat we had to deal with (by the way he was sweating after 5minutes and had to leave) once he had done this he assured us things would be sorted in the morning ... well low and behold in the morning a new part that was needed for over a year we hear had arrived and was fitted... and yes it was cool air .. just a shame it was the day before we were leaving and this had totally ruined our holiday. Why not report this to your rep i hear you say... we did.... be as well taking to the wall what a waste of space she is !!! Gave us a form looked at the room and said fill this in ,so we did handed it back she gave us a copy and said someone will be in touch within 14 days of your return home .. we waited and waited nothing.. i then read the back of the form if you dont contactt them within 28 days you claim in invalid !!! what a surprise ....So i feel out travel company let us down and at the end of the day. There slogan dont just book it Th.... C.... it i wouldnt not with them again. Apart from that the hotel was nice the food was lovely and plentyful and the two lasses at the pool entertainment deserve a medal .. what long hours they work . So if you ever go to the Tsokkos Beach then please try to stay away from the 2nd floor rooms 126 to 132 we were in room 129 there is long running issues with these rooms .......... If we had shouted at the start been stroppy and loud then maybe just maybe we would of had a better time .

Family holiday that was brilliant. The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful with nothing to much trouble.Food was great with lots to choose from.Including melon which was very refreshing.I had no complaints at all.
The entertainment was brilliant who catered for all ages.Thankyou Donna and Michelle you were great.
Our rep Bekka was very helpful and on hand.

There was a family that made alot of complaints about nothing.Complaining about staff and the entertainment but yet seemed to join in with the entertainment and ate the food.

We met some great people and cant wait to join them back at Tsokkos Beach Hotel in August 2010.
Would recommend this hotel to young and old as there is a wide range of things to do.

Me, my husband and my 3 teenagers have just returned from a brilliant holiday in the Tsokkos Beach Hotel in Cyprus. We were welcomed by the reception staff who were very polite and helpful throughout the whole holiday. The resturant was great, very wide variety of foods everyday and something to suit everybodys taste buds. The head waitor Christos is very good, as he sits you down and orders you drinks. He gets very busy at times and still manages to keep up with everybodies needs. The resturant was clean and tidy and the waitors and waitresses would always change the table cloths after you had been sitting there. Drinks would arrive at your table within no time which was very impressive. The rooms were dated and do need referbishing and we did have some trouble with the aircon at first but the service was excellent and they come to sort it out straight away. The room was comfortable and we had a nice pool/sea view. The barstaff were polite and had a laugh and joke with you when you went up to order drinks. The entertainment was excellent. Donna and Michelle were very good, entertaining and always made time to come and sit and have a chat with you.

We enjoyed this holiday so much we have already booked up to go again next year! We cannot wait!

I travelled to this hotel with my mum and dad on the 2nd August until the 16th August and really loved it.

The hotel was just FANTASTIC. We had a fantastic welcome from the reception staff and throughout our holiday they was brilliant.

The restaurant was clean, tidy and very well organised and I especially like the manager Christov who made us feel very welcome in the restaurant.

The rooms were good with brilliant maid service every day and also good maintenance staff who responded to any problems within seconds.

The entertainment was FANTASTIC, different every day and very well organised by Donna and Michelle who were the entertainment organisers.

We loved this hotel and holiday so much that we have only been back in UK for roughly a week when we booked to go again next year.

FANTASTIC,BRILLIANT AND HEART-WARMING HOTEL

i booked this holiday last september and to use the word disapointment is a mild description of how i felt on arrival at the hotel, the lobby was dated and dark with no air conditioning.the bedrooms were dated and unfinished allthough the hotel is advertising renovated bedrooms. if mr.tsokkos is ungenorous with the air conditioning not so with the melon,in fact it was on the menu 14 days of my holiday morning noon and night the choice of food was limited and the dining room was using dirty table cloths and there was a definate shortage of staff with ques forming to be seated and the head waiter insisting that he seat u and order ur drinks which did not happen. as i had dietry neads i was accomodated by christos the restraunt manager and he was very helpfull but there was a lack of basic things like poridge fresh tuna and salmon.
the other fiction the hotel were advertising was hairdresser, massage and sauna non of wich were available and when i went to book theese was told i had to go to another hotel when i asked were the gift shop was that was advertised was told to go to the supermarket ,hardly the same thing.i could go on and on about this hotel but i would like to complete this and forget the experience and hope that people will read this and take my advise and book a different hotel oh i forgot to mention the unforgetable entertainment and the plastic chairs and tables that were so uncomfortable there was only one bar although three were advertised and there were queus to be served no waitress service and a barmen who quiet frankly reminded me of someone out of the moovies the talkies that is however i digress the only good part of the holiday .......... goodness what was it again .....oh yes the weather.

The Tsokkos Beach we found nothing had changed from the last time we went decor wise rooms do need doing but how long are you in them anyway. The bar staff day and night time were friendly and polite alwalys had a smile so did our cleaner on floor 1 she was lovely and wel what can I say about the entertainment reps Donna and Michelle they were great with all ages and really made you feel welcome and relaxed and loved people to join in with whatever they were doing that day, also Rebecca the Thomas Cook Rep was lovely, helpful and doing her job brilliantly even though she had a few moaners there she kept her cool they all work hard but happy with it so well done to all of them.
We went to the waterpark worth the money adults 30 euro each with mr john taxis brilliant day out, also went on boat trip to cape grecko and Famagusta 2 hour boat trip 10 euro each great views, then we went to Aiya Napa for the night on the fair lots of rides to go on for adults and kids great night out .
We met 6 families which really made our holiday and hope we can all go back the same time next year as we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at tsokkos beach, food was ok but any hotel repeats their theme lunch at snackbar was the best and pool area was always clean deposit boxes was 22 euro for 2 weeks and fridge 3 euro not bad really cant wait for august 2010.
