Just returned from a fabulous holiday staying at the Pearl. We have nothing but praise for the wonderful Hotel and staff and will return again and again .... however.....BEWARE IF YOU BOOK WITH THOMSON...
All Suite Rooms are situated on the 1st floor only and classed as ' Inland Views' by the Hotel. Thomson Holidays are selling this as as a 'Pool View'.....No View is the real description unless you like looking at a wall.

Just got back from a fantastic week at the sunrise pearl,i read the reviews before booking and made our decision to go there on these.

The staff were genuinely please to welcome you each time you go into the hotel from opening the doors or calling for the lift to take you to your bedroom.

The hotel was absolutely spotless throughout including bedrooms, reception, pool area, dinning rooms.

Our bedroom was fantastic with a side view of Fig tree bay,we had twin sinks, rain shower, bath robes big flat screen tv,mini bar (chargable) and even Lindt chocolates on our pillows at night.

The food was out of this world with lots of choice at both breakfast and evening meal, the drinks were a little pricey but similar to the bars in the area.

Being able to book your sunbeds at the start of your holiday is a great idea and i don't know why other hotels do not do this,it takes all the hassle out of hunting for sun beds each morning,it must give some people a lay in who get up with there towels to reserve beds each day!!

I put my review as 'nothing was too much trouble' this being because i broke my prescription sun glasses whilst on holiday and Andy and Marie from the hotel tried to fix them for me,this is what you call service.

We have been going on holidays abroad for the last 35 years and this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in,we will be going back.

Room Tip: Sea or side sea view rooms overlooking Fig tree bay.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, location excellent, Protaras is a smallish town, a bit touristy but not too loud. Hotel accomodation excellent, staff extremely helpful and welcoming, We stayed half board and enjoyed the food, breakfast excellent with wide variety, dinner always a good range with excellent carvery options. Drinks a bit expensive but you expect this from a genuine 5 star hotel. The method of allocating excellent sunbeds for the whole of your stay was another bonus, and the beach towels (changed every day) were the best we have had. Lasting impression - water everywhere, pools (6) and water features, direct access to a nice beach with shallow sea, with a clean well maintained promenade (several miles in either direction). Bottled water provided every day free of charge. Management accessible and willing to talk & listen. There is no evening entertainment in the hotel, but you can, if you wish, visit the "sister" hotel, next door to join in with their guests. A new Italian restaurant on the front of the hotel site (part of the hotel) is opening anytime soon, another welcome addition. The transfer time from Larnaca by coach is about 75 minutes. Children are allowed, but they did not bother us, their swimming pool is away from those that are reserved for adults. One interesting feature for those ecologically minded, the heat generated from the air-conditioning system is recycled to provide the hot water for guests to use, a self-contained system. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already decided to revisit.

Room Tip: The maximum height of the hotel is 4 storey's, with numerous separate two storey suites. The sea...

I thought the hotel itself was clean and well laid out. The pools were very nice (although very cold) and I loved the way sun beds were allocated to each guest.
The beach is just yards away and was also nice, with jet-skis etc to hire out if you wish.
The rooms are nice and have no complaints about the room itself, but the maids made it their job to clean our room at 8am every morning. They ignored the "do not disturb" sign that we switched on and came in anyway. We also had a "mini-bar guy" who topped up any used items on a daily basis. He often just let himself in, without ringing, with the do not disturb sign on! This was terrible, but they finally managed to sort this out after 5 or 6 days. The music system didn't work at all in the room. They eventually got us a cable (that they expected us to bring with us) but that didnt work anyway.
The food was nice and the waiters at the buffet were very quick to fill your drinks up. No shorts are allowed at all in the buffet, no matter how smart you are dressed. This rule only applies to men. Women can wear pretty much what they want (including hotpants). I have no problem with a smart dress code, as long as it applies to everyone.
I think this place has potential but they need to iron out these little problems.

We have just returned from a most wonderful holiday at this really 5 star hotel (Sunrise Pearl) 26.04-10.05.13. By now I can definitely say - this is the most wonderful place to be really relaxed for everyone - adults, children, infants from any point of consideration Service, Rooms, Location, SPA etc. from any points - only excellent marks! Previously had experience being on holiday at Paphos (Coral Beach 5) Agia-Napa (Adams Beach 5 - 2 times) - but the Sunrise Pearl is the best - surely can recommend for everyone and all the more I am going to return next time as well - already dreaming with a whole family (two daughter 11 years and 9 month:) including our friends (stayed together - they really impressed of everything at this excellent place as well:) Firstly was booked Sea View Junior Suite Room, after arriving we were offered a very good sea view two standard rooms with connection door (so actually we occupied two rooms at third floor 322 and 323 - really very good view- please see pictures:) Our oldest daughter was so pleased to be at her own room:) I would like to say especial thanks to Mr. Phanos (sorry if I am incorrect with the letter:) for the home made hospitality and understanding heart! Especial thanks for excellent service at restaurants for Mr. George and his colleagues (sorry but I could not remember all the names:) Everything was organized perfectly!!!Especial thanks for Vera at reception desk and Evangelia at SPA!
Thank you very much! We wish you everyone all the best and stability with upcoming great success and we hope to see you everyone again on the next time (maybe next year:)
With the kind regards,
Airat Minyazov & Nikolay Grenkov
