Just returned home after a weeks stay at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel and we loved every minute, from the friendly reception staff and the porter who showed us how everything works in the room to the housekeeper who kept our room spotless every day and did the turn down service every evening. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and dinner was really nice with lots of different dishes to choose from, we didn't try any of the other restaurants as we really enjoyed the food in the Waterfall Restaurant. We spent our days at the adult pool where we were allocated our sun loungers and it was very peaceful, fresh pool towels every day, had lunch in Mistral a couple of times but mostly walked to Fig Tree Bay during the day. Have to give a special mention to Jana the entertainer who kept us fit with our morning stretching exercises, what a lovely girl, always cheery and I enjoyed our little chats. Went to Ayai Napa one evening on the bus which takes around 20 minutes and costs 1.50 euro each way. We don't normally return to the same place twice but will definitely return to this Hotel and hope to be back next year, will also recommend to family and friends.

I never write reviews but felt I just had to after visiting this hotel. I had read the previous reviews before booking and wasn't sure it would live up to the hype but I can wholeheartedly say that it has. I have stayed in a number of luxury hotels around the world and have usually been a little disappointed with the standard of European "5 star" hotels, that was until I stayed here. This really is a 5 star. The rooms are amazing (luxury super-king beds, beautiful views, rainfall shower, the list goes on) everything is spotless (from the rooms to the pools), and the food and service is simply outstanding. This is our first visit to Cyprus, we don't usually visit the same place twice and if we do it's because we've clearly found it exceptional; I can say we will definitely be visiting the Sunrise Pearl again albeit for a little longer as 7 days was just not enough. So pleased that we found this absolute gem of a hotel!

Just spent a week at the Sunrise Pearl which was not long enough!!! This hotel is amazing. This was my 9th stay in Protaras and no other hotel comes anywhere close to the standard of this hotel.
From the moment we walked in we were blown away with the level of friendliness and professionalism. As already mentioned on other reviews we were served orange juice whilst waiting to check in which was a very nice touch. We booked with Thomson and perhaps because we had a child also we were allocated a junior suite at the front of the hotel, the view was beautiful. The suite was immaculate, bed was huge and very comfy, two TVs with English movie channels, l'occitane bath products and a free safe, the list is endless!!!
The restaurant served amazing food both at breakfast and at dinner, lots of choice and of a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble for staff, they were very friendly however a minor criticism I would say is that the hotel restaurant didn't have a very child friendly feel to it... Anna and Jacob both stood out as being two of the best staff there!!!
Another small complaint albeit a small one was when we arrived in the restaurant at just after 9.30 one evening only to be told by quite a rude waiter (older guy) that the restaurant closed at 9.30 and we were late and needed to hurry up getting food if we wanted some... I did try explaining that it said in the hotel information in our room that it clearly said food was served till 10pm but he would not accept what I was telling him. Word of warning the info in the folder is wrong, don't be late for dinner otherwise you will have a rude waiter tell you off (which was quite embarrassing).
Food at the mistral restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced.
The hotel offered many small touches which made it feel so special such as the offer of cold flannels whilst sat around the pool, being offered fruit from a platter whilst sunbathing and chocolates left in the bedroom each evenings.
Personally I liked the fact that you were allocated sun beds and they were yours throughout your stay but this may not be for everyone and you may be restricted as to where you can sit.
My little girl went to the children's club on several occasions however the staff aren't English and one girl in particular appeared very cool and not too friendly towards my daughter considering she worked with children I was very surprised, I was a little apprehensive leaving her but Kristine was nice and she kept returning with crafty things she had made!!!
Overall anyone that stays at this hotel will not be disappointed. I really hope the standard of professionalism and high quality service offered at this hotel remains.
We are hoping to return to this hotel next year and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here. The extra money it costs to stay here is well worth it!!!!

Room Tip: Pay extra for a sea view as it is well worth it.

The hotel was very nice, extra big beds, nice food. Good idea with the pool towel service. However, i'm not quite sure i would really say it was 5 star. I didn't think it was that luxrious.
Its no bad though.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the 4th floor, best seaview

What a wonderful hotel - after staying at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel in Protaras for a week in May, we can honestly say that this hotel is the best in the area. A fantastic addition to the resort. Great location, right on the beach, and almost right centre on the main strip. From the minute we arrived at the hotel, to the minute we left, the staff were the most accommodating, pleasant, helpful brigade I have ever come across in one location - a fantastic team. Breakfast and dinner in the Waterfall Restaurant were excellent, great choice, quality ingredients, and regularly replenished and kept fresh. Poolside lunch in the Mistral restaurant also could not be faulted, same quality of service and food, in a fantastic location.
Rooms were kept spotlessly clean, and bottles of water were supplied on a daily basis which was a nice touch. We have been visiting Protaras for 10 years, and now cannot imagine staying anywhere else other than the Sunrise Pearl Hotel !

Just arrived back from probably AGAIN!!!!! one of the best holidays we have had for the second time from this fabulous hotel, it goes from strength to strength it has got everything, fantastic food, now an addition of a great cocktail bar, the cleanliness is second to none the standard is second to none (we have stayed in some very nice 5 star hotels but they do not come close to the Pearl) everyone of the staff are fantastic and are so friendly rooms are fantastic the views from the balconies are great but the Star (and stars) of the whole thing is Thannoss and his team, you can tell all the staff respect him he will move heaven and earth to make sure your stay is memorable and absolutely nothing is too much trouble thank you once again my friend also must mention George you all work very hard to make sure everything is spot on and it is that is why we will be back next year and i cannot wait

Room Tip: Try and get a sea view because its worth it

we are a couple in our late twenties and stayed for a week in May, lovely hotel (went with Thomson and having driven round a few of the hotels we were glad to be at this one!). room was beautiful - we had a swim up room but the pool was too cold to use as it was a little too early in the season I guess, and it was in the shade (it also didnt go anywhere except the room next door which was a little odd!). the main pool area was lovely and immaculate, loved the idea of reserving sunbeds as means you dont have to be at the pool at the crack of dawn!
breakfast was fine, good selection but the same every day which gets a little boring. lunch by the pool was amazing, the best food we had all week. found dinner in the restaurant a little disappointing, it was cold and the meat dry/overcooked. we used the dine around 4 nights, would recommend the greek and asian but not the american (no atmostphere, terrible food - think worse than budget TGI fridays - and there was no sport on even though it was labelled a sports bar). having read other reviews we seem to be the only ones dissapointed with food so either we picked an off week or just have very high standards. would recommend the cocktail bar at the end of the drive - lovely cocktails and the barman was great giving us little tasters of other cocktails.
probably wouldnt stay again as wasnt keen on the resort (elvis tribute acts in bars filled with football shirts isnt my thing) but if they open a new hotel elsewhere with the same company/management we would probably enquire.
