“Just what we wanted”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

We stayed here earlier this year and Coralli was almost perfect for us (I'd give it a 4.5 if possible).

Positive points...

Apartment (A202) - Large, modern, clean and had everything you could possibly need. We had an amazing sea/pool view and as we were just above the cafe/bar, we had Wifi in the room.
Aroma Cafe - Modern, stylish, quiet, chilled out atmosphere with a limited choice of food and an excellent choice of drinks. I disagree with previous comments re. the locals arriving who were apparent 'friends' of the bar manager spoiling the place - I got the impression these people own apartments there and were just friendly as they were regulars in the bar. The guy worked hard and was very friendly (if you made the effort to speak with him - sorry I can't remember his name).
Arrival was a piece of cake - we knew they had no reception so got our room number and keysafe code in advance - Top tip - don't ring the number 15 mins before arrival and you won't get charged for aircon (we didn't anyway).
Untouched coves just out front with crystal clear waters
2 min walk to supermarket
5 min walk to first bar (Irresistable Bar - call in for a beer, it's a great family run bar)

Negatives...

Just a little too far from the strip - only a 10 min walk but as we wanted to eat out 3 times a day - The heat did get to us!!
The building opposite is an eyesore.

We visited many excellent restaurants, I'd recommend Molti (2mins down strip on RHS) and Georges bar just over the road. The only problem is you have too many good bars/restaurants to choose from.

We used Johns taxis for the transfers - 95 euros return - who were excellent.

Overall Coralli is an excellent place within an even better resort. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Room Tip: Insist on Block A

Coralli Spa Resort is ideally located in Protaras if you want to avoid the crowded beaches. You can still walk for less than 10 mins to Fig Tree Bay and the rest. But Coralli itself overlooks a quiet little bay which though not sandy has crystal clear waters! The views are uninterrupted and spectacular if you book a sea view appartment. We stayed at a one bedroom flat for 7 nights. The sofa bed was comfy enough to sleep a third person. The flat was well equipped with washing machine, microwave oven, stove, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a large fridge. The flats are all nicely furnished and new. The Aroma cafe at the swimming pool area offers coffees and snacks and with its discreet music adds a pleasant note to the resort. It closes early at night so as to minimise any nuisance to the tenants. The Spa is reasonably priced too. All in all if you are looking for a quiet stay with easy access to the sea but close to the bustle of Protaras should you wish to indulge, this is the place to book.

We stayed here for a week in July. Like many reviews say if you don't know the room and key code before you travel you will have problems due to no one on reception.
After reading the reviews we asked what room no we where staying in and getting in the apartment was easy
We stayed in B301 which over looked the mountains but also had a sea view, the apartment has everything you needed. A dishwasher, washing machine, iron etc. it was a modern and large enough apartment for the two of us but I could imagine the sofa bed not being the best place to sleep.
The pool area was quiet and no problems in getting a sun lounger around any of the two pools.
It was a ten minute walk into the centre of protarus and the supermarket just outside the hotel came in very handy.
I would have no problems in booking these apartments if we where to visit cyprus again.

the corali spa is just 1km from the famous fig tree bay and from protaras center. it has nice rooms but the beds are not realy comfortable. the poll is really good and just under the resort there is a really small unknown "beach" that has really clean water and because it has rocks it is a great place for diving (you will see fish and cool rocks). the resort is out of the noisy center and is peacfull but is not away from the action. we loved it.

I booked the appartment directly from the owner about one and a half month prior our stay. Until the day before I did not received any kind of information where to find the key or what time would be ready. I had to call him and he replied by sending an email with all the information needed. We arrived at the appartment at around 5. The appartment was nice with great sea and pool view but unfortunately not well cleaned. I had to clean it myself using a dirty mop ( must consider changing the cleaning equipment). Other than that, the pool area was lovely, although I don't think reserving a bed by the pool is appropriate. I could see people at 7 a.m coming down with their towels and then show up at the pool at around 11. Other than that it was quiet, near to some nice beaches of Protaras like Fig Tree and Cavo Maris and Green Grove. It is a nice complex and it could have been a much better experience overall.

Room Tip: A sea /pool view apartment at block A (med view) is recommended

This is a very modern complex with clean public areas and a wonderful pool area, but it has a number of issues so anyone considering booking should consider carefully.
I became aware from checking on Trip Advisor about the lack of reception staff and the need to be aware of the room number before travel so was not caught out by that as others have been. However the apartment was much smaller and more basic than expected with only enough towels for 3 despite clearly booking for 4. Also no promised welcome pack - not very welcoming when arriving at midnight! The shortage of towels took two expensive phone calls to the useless rental company to resolve - they were far more interested in collecting the 6 euros per day air con charge that had been added on 2 weeks before the holiday started. The room was not cleaned by staff the whole of our 11 night stay, with no clean towels or sheets provided. In my opinion this is 2 or 3 star accommodation at best, not the claimed 4 star.
The pool area was lovely; however there was a problem with locals and/or friends/relatives of the café manager ignoring the "residents only" signs and using it as their own personal meeting area on a number of occasions. The café itself was poorly run, with a very limited and expensive selection, and frequently ran out of the basics. Also the café manager seemed to be miserable the whole time apart from when his friends/relatives turned up. I even noted him removing residents' towels on one occasion so that his friends/relatives could have the sunbeds.
All things considered I would not recommend this place.

Room Tip: The A block with the pool and sea views are recommended.

We have just returned from a week in Protaras in the Coralli Spa Resort. The apartment we stayed in was excellent - very clean and spacious with everything we needed including a dishwasher and washing machine. We had a lovely view of the pool (which was also very nice indeed) and the beach to our left. The hotel was less than a 10 minute walk from all the bars/shops and restaurants of Protaras. Our only complaint about our stay was that our friends' apartment wasn't cleaned and ready on arrival but luckily we found a very helpful housekeeper who made sure their apartment was ready in under an hour. We would go back and recommend this hotel - our holiday was very enjoyable.
