arrived at 11pm sunday 1/4/13 public areas in darkness only lights on over reception, after booking in asked if possible for any food ? NO was the reply ,, we had booked all inc., was offered a beer by the night manager . the other couple in our party could not be found on their system so finaly were allowed a lower grade room till next day but no wrist band (just incase they tried to get another beer) our room on top floor suffered from loud whoosing noise at irreguler intervals moved to another room next day a little better (i think the noise came from foul pipe valves on roof closing after toilets being flused ) food at this 5* hotel was not up to standard the pool loungers were so saggey once in very hard to get out again, lounge / entertainment areas not large enough for half full hotel but entertainment not very good first 2 nights quiz organised by 2 guests 3rd night by the now resident organiser 4 th night kareoky 5 th night was the night manager and saksaphone what a fun week ?? never again

Room Tip: not the top floor .pool view good sea view better and quieter

Just returned from a weeks holiday with our 12 year old daughter,I find it very difficult to fault this beautiful hotel on what I consider the best coastline of the island, most rooms have a stunning view over the pool and looking out to sea, rooms were kept clean and we never used it much as the sofas in the bar areas were fantastic and a very sociable place to sit in the evenings,
We had a great bar man called Andrew who served us constantly with our drinks and cocktails never having to leave our seats
Food was also excellent plenty of variety, icecream for the kids in a help yourself freezer by the outside bar, good snack system out of restaurant hours
Dining room used for evening dinner was relaxing and again very beautiful cream chairs and marble flooring, breakfast and lunch served in the pool restaurant also clean and organised.
We never struggled to find a lounger by the pool abundance of them for everyone
This hotel was like a Carribean experience sandy beach and broad walk immediately from the hotel I believe MOST people will love it here,we obviously went at a quiet time and we made our own entertainment and met other holiday families
Internet did become available towards the end of the week
It you can take a trip to a Northern Cyrus lots of history there

Room Tip: Side view over the pool

This was my wedding venue. I always wanted a wedding on a beautiful beach but it was only ruined by the wedding organisers swearing at each other and the manager just before i walked down the isle. The changing of my room 3 times where i had no bedding for a night for myself and my little boy. How they forgot my wedding cake so brought out a triffle and how the music system broke down. The hotel is generally ok.... not value for money but is badly run through its management and catering manager. Poor communication, service and very rude. The rest of the staff were nice. Alex especially. Who had no faith in the management. However Location is great. Now looking to renew my vows and would stay clear of this place after what they have done the first time around.

Room Tip: Just dont go there...... as what ever room your in they will move you.

On the downside, rooms are very tired and dusty, hotel is really geared up for other nationalities (no English TV!), a lot of "free" facilities actually incur a fee (wifi, safe, fridge, spa......) and food is average at best. BUT you get what you pay for and the AI package is actually value for money and the staff, in general, are good. And out of season, remember everything is closed so you are largely restricted to the hotel.

Travelled here in Sept 09 for a wedding - hotel beautiful, food marvellous and everything close by including the beach right in front of you. Protaras is a lovely place with just enough to do for an 11 night holiday - would go again

First impression of hotel. Ok. Reception ok .Pan and his staff in atrium bar Great. Room great. Breakfast, loads of choice and the Eastern European pelmet wearing skirts (talking to each other encouraging guests to shower them with gifts) where a great laugh. This hotel is touted as a 5 star
Sorry, maybe a 3 star. Ok the boss drives a Merc S350 his Son a Panamera C4s and wife and daughter drive Bentleys. Maybe that's why they insist you need to pay E50 for wifi for week. Now,the shop from hell is staffed by a descendant from Transylvania, closely followed by her daughter in reception. . However, keeping in mind that the whole area is closed to holiday makers, please find the Greenery pub, good drinks, atmosphere, eats and FREE wifi.

Room Tip: Good for locals at new year

This was the first visit to Cyprus, for my husband. Thank you to ALL the staff who made our stay so pleasant! Although the resort has almost closed down until next season, the hotel seemed fully staffed and guests didn't go without.....
Previous comments had us slightly anxious with regards to the hotel rating and sure enough - this is not 5* by UK standards, however in terms of staff training and guest service - some of our London hotels could learn a thing or two here as the staff were so sincere with their hospitality!
I wouldn't go all-inclusive again; the food was not authentic and we ate out for most of our evening meals. I would have especially liked to have seen some more fresh fruit, please!

Room Tip: Side sea view - you can see more of the resort as well as the sea and get some fabulous photos!
