Just returned from a week at the malama, On arrival room was spotless, could not fault it at all as we arrived late there was a bottle of water in the fridge and some bread, crackers, cheese, ham etc. Air conditiong works really well and was included in the price. Accommodation had one room with double bed and access to balcony, living area with access to balcony and asmall kitchen area, bathroom with shower which which provided plenty hot water.

Surroundings very nice gardens with palm trees, Plenty sunbeds to go around and big enough pool area. If you go to the end of sunbed are and go down the stairs there is a small beach area so accomodation looks onto the sea. There is the seaview cafe with outdoor shaded seating which faces the sea it sells snacks and drinks. The buffet dinner was very good they had different themed nights like chinese, mexican, cypriot, italian, greek, bbq, roast meat night, seafood etc etc. We ate there the full two weeks even although we had originaly thought we might eat out a couple even though we were half board but we were very happy with it. There was also a salad bar to start and sometimes soup. For afters cake, fruit and sort of angel delight type desert. Breakfast was continental plus egg, bacon, sausage diff breads etc. There was also a chef demetrios which during the buffet dinner added a nice touch by cooking a dish fresh like pasta, risotto and in the morning eggs or panckakes.
Location wise it is actually situated in the costal area of paralimni if you walk to top of the road and turn right there are bars, resteraunts and shops. If you turn left and walk to roundabout there is a 101 bus that takes you to protaras and aya napa for 1 euro or 2.50 after 11pm. We did this every day and it was no problem for us. To be honest regardless of where you stay on that side unless its on a main strip you will need to use a bus to get around and as you are one of the arlier stops on the bus route it means you are more likley to get a seat on the bus as they can become busy. We hired a car for 4 days while there to see a bit of the country and I would recomend the troodos mountains and aphrodite's rock.
Staff at hotel were so efficent absolutley no complaints. Just to comment there was an inside bar repo's which was never opened but at night people mainly sat outside although we only joined the entertainment one night but every night there were different things on. During the day they had activities also such as archery, areobics, voleyball etc etc. Overall fantastic

Only one problem, is if using a manual wheelchair, the undulating paths are a problem. Saying that, we had a great time. Food, rooms and staff were all first class. Also able to book trips with reception: being a pirate for a day was great.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Malama Holiday Village on a bed and breakfast basis. Helpful and polite service from all the staff who work very hard to provide you with a superb holiday. Apartments are spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Outdoor swimming pools and area is very well mantained as are the gardens. Always plenty of sunbeds. Indoor swimming pool (cave setting) a bit dated now and seen better days. The Malama is situated on the edge of a beautiful little cove. There are a handful of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. A nice evening meal can be emjoyed at the Pig n Whistle which is within walking distance. We hired a car for a few days from empire cars which is on the holiday vilage so we could access a livelier Protaras some evenings. Entertainment wasn't very good in the evening at the Malama, well not to our taste anyway! Over all a fantastic holiday experience here, would stay here again wihout a doubt!!

This hotel is situated on the very edge of Protaras in a very quiet setting. If you're looking for a livier holiday, this is not the hotel for you! However, there is a very good bus service that costs 1Euro for any journey, and it takes about 15 minutes to reach the main street of Protaras or 40 minutes to reach the centre of Ayia Napa. The hotel is about 45 minutes from Larnaca airport.

The hotel is quite small, but the rooms are very spacious! We stayed all-inclusive, and would seriously recommend this over half-board or self catering (which this hotel offers) as drinks and snacks were very expensive, and the hotel is not near any major shops or restaurants! There was a reasonable kitchen bit in the rooms, and the room was very clean and modern (apart from the curtains!) and even included a wall mounted flat screen LG TV! The only complaint I can make is that the room wasn't cleaned on 2 days of our 10 day holiday.

The food was one of the best aspects of this hotel. It was beautifully cooked, and there were a number of finishing touches added as well. There was a kids corner with chips everyday. The food varied every day, but there was always a meat and fish, potatoes of some kind, vegetables. There was also the kids corner, a salad bar and a desert counter. We found there to be quite a lot of fish at this hotel, and we're not fish eaters, but as I say the bus to Protaras costs 1Euro (the bus stop is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel) and there a number of restaurants and bars in the centre of Protaras!

The staff were extremely polite, the pool area was clean and tidy, and although the beach is not a private beach for the hotel, it was generally very quiet and beautifully clear water for swimming. There was a full entertainment programme for the day and night (kid and adult friendly), including water polo, aerobics, bingo, mini disco, magic show, and tribute acts.

The hotel is pretty much flat all around but where there is steps, there is also a slope, so this hotel is certainly ideal for families with buggies or wheelchairs. There was no free wi-fi at this hotel, but with a McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut all in the centre of Protaras, you can gain free wi-fi there! There was internet available at the hotel at a charge, but I am not sure how much it was.

Overrall, a very lovely time at this hotel, and would certainly go back!

Returned last week from a 2 week holiday at the Malama Holiday Village with my husband and 2 children, aged 4 and 8. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it.
The bay at the bottom of the hotel was beautiful. The sea was very warm and clear. We managed to do some snorkelling and swam around the edge of the bay to a sea cave. Also there are water sports facilities down at the bay. We had a go on the sofa and hired a speed boat - great way to enjoy the beautiful coastline.
The pools were lovely and as two have walk-in shallow ends, we felt that our 4 year old was very safe.
We were very impressed with the food. It was of a very high quality. Demetris the cook was very friendly and hard-working and made us some lovely dishes whilst there. It was always worth queueing for a dish to be cooked personally for you. There was plenty of choice but I would say that pasta should be included in the children's buffet as my son ate a lot of chips on this holiday!! Also, I would have expected some grilled halloumi on holiday in Cyprus but alas, none :-(
We were all-inclusive which was good as we had three meals a day and local wine (rose was most palatable), beers, soft drinks and kids' ice-creams were free. We didn't venture out much but it's too hot in August to do anything but relax and dip in the pool/sea and nearby Protaras is not as nice as it used to be.
The staff who stood out for us were Rita at Reception, Demetris the cook and our lovely waiter, Ciprian.
Last of all, not a single mosquito bite all holiday which is a real bonus as my husband always has a bad reaction.
We will definitely be returning!

Room Tip: We were in 15-21 which had a lovely sea view but you can hear the evening entertainment. Not so lou...

A great two week holiday for family of 6 - children aged 15, 12, 4 and 1 - all catered for! Would go back. Great children pool for <5years and under and two other pools. On half-board - good quality food based on quality not masses of the same that most hotels do.

Room Tip: 4221 and 4222 - Rooms near to childrens play area, tennis court, main hotel and restuarant, not on a...
