“Relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

Malama is a beautiful holiday village, just the right amount of guests staying there not a large complex just right, Quite quiet so don't go there if you want non stop entertainment. Spotlessly clean and helpful friendly staff, we have stayed there twice now both times in May, we had a sea view apartment that also looked over the pools which was wonderful. The Malama is within walking distance of the bars and restaurants in Kapparis, but if you want Protaras or Ayia Napa then this is a bus/taxi ride. We Hire a car which I feel makes the holiday a lot better as you can see more of the Island. would highly recommend The Malama

Room Tip: High Floors better if you don't have small children - no lifts though

I would highly recommend the Malama Village! The beach area a little stony ,the pool clean and the food was excellent. The staffs are all fantastic.
The entertainer girls (Nikita,Vanda and Reka) were excellent ,they work really hard all day and they made our holiday and made the best memories.
The hotel is in a little village, everything is closes at 12 AM so if you want to go out for the night you would have to go to an other city(Protaras ,Alya Napa) but they are really close and it is easy to get there by taxi from the hotel reception or with bus.
It was a lovely place ,we are planning to go back there next year!
Thank you for everything.

While the food was adequate, that is the best I can say about this hotel. Rooms are minimal and very basic (I've stayed in nicer caravans!) beach towels can only be changed every THREE DAYS!! Wifi charges are ridiculous! Never again and wouldn't recommend. We left a day early as couldn't bare another night in that horrible room

I would highly reccomend the Malama Village, the place is spotless and staff are well organised, proffesional and helpful. We went in April and was quiet, so i can not comment on how it is in the busier months. I can imagine the inside bar area would become too crowded in high season. The pools and spa area are lovley, the little beach is great and facilities at Malama are fab!, there is a little shop for neccessaties. We stayed half board and could not fault the food. We chose this package as we wanted to out on trips etc. There are regular buses (1 euro each) that will take you to Protaras and Hiya Napa. We ate out alot and would recomend Tonys Tavern, just around the corner from Malama Village (he has rather large play area for children). Mojito Bar (near Protaras- Fab roast dinner!). Markos Fish Tavern (the harbour Hiya Nappa). Ripples bar (for cocktails- Protaras). Anatolia (very good steaks and traditonal Mezes -Protaros). All these where faultless..We also went to Atlantas water park which was great for children...it was quiet when we went. I would reccomend roo 1701, it was a great spot, over looking the pool area and view of sea! this a true reflection of our experience at the Malama....usually i dont go back to the same place twice but im considering going back in October.

Just returned from a week away here. This is a lovely place to stay - excellent food and rooms were really spacious. This hotel is a little outside of protaras so away from the hustle and bustle which was really nice. Would definitely recommend it!!

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room if possible. We initially went for a garden view room but it was a bit dingy...

Now really we shouldn't have liked this hotel as a 40plus couple who have done the benidorm kids think we were really looking for a nice quiet holiday and to be honest when we saw the amount of little kids here expected the worse, but no quite the opposite the hotel was so good that the kids blended into the background ,we had a smart spacious room with kitchen and private balcony with flat screen tv ,but with only one English music channel didn't get much use, kept spotlessly clean, infact all areas of this hotel were kept very clean .
The food was excellent always something tasty all staff polite and attentive could have done with omelettes on more than one morning though would be my only criticism
The pool was really nice but not peaceful :) and there is a lovely little cove with a beach which is quaint but a little on the small side.
Most of the guests are Dutch or French with a smattering of Russian and brits etc but all seemed pleasant.
The hotel is not in protarus and not a place to stay if you like long walks but you can get the bus for a euro that will take you as far as aya napa and runs a regular service through protarus to be honest they are worth a visit but can't believe how many Russians there are in these resorts.
All in all we had an excellent holiday with 30 plus temps in very early may and would consider this hotel again maybe with the gran kids though

Thank you to the management and staff of malama holiday resort for excellent service. we had a very enjoyable two weeks. you are so fortunate to have such a beautifull country. we had so much to do and to see. the accommodation was excellent. our rooms were well kept and whenever we required help, it was done immediately. nothing was left for later. the resort itself had so much to do. we especially enjoyed the warm pool and the beach. the long morning walks along the coastline was magnificent. your staff was ever so friendly. please keep up the good service. you will definately hear from us in the future and we would not hesitate to recommend you to all.

Room Tip: we were upstairs in 2412 and had sunny mornings for breakfast.
