We have stayed in Malama several times over the last 14yrs!! & have always enjoyed our stay. The staff are very helpful & friendly, particularly Alexia,Carolina and the lovely ladies at reception.. Housekeeping standards are good & every morning the cleaners are hard at work cleaning including the poolside. It is a lovely holiday destination, right on the beach and a great place to relax & unwind.

We stayed here as a couple in April this year all inclusive booked at quite short notice for a decent price.
Rooms
This was originally all self catering so they are large and very well equipped for all inclusive especially by Cyprus standards, housekeeping standards were good only negative would be not enough sockets (not by any means a deal-breaker)
Food
We weren't very happy with the food I will admit to being a fussy eater but I quite often had to resort to kids meals (chips and chicken nuggets etc) to get something to eat. We got the impression that it might be better more into the season as it looked quite sparse most of the time but still that's not a good thing. The size of the restaurant would also worry me in high season, I could see it being chaos for the amount of apartments. One night they had roast beef that was completely inedible-there was no chewing through it........ was chopped-up cold on the counter the next day. The chef cooking fresh stuff was lovely but there was only a couple of times that we liked what he was doing. The hotel could do with a snack-bar near the pool. Also if you're all inclusive and you fancy an ice cream or your child over twelve does....... sorry you're paying extra for that.
Drinks
For all inclusive the choice of drinks was poor with only i think three cocktails on offer, also the quality was terrible they were using vodka from plastic squeezy bottles which must cost something like five Euros and they wanted three for a single measure if not all-inclusive. Having no wristbands and signing for every drink is also quite stupid I have never seen this before and it also got on the staffs nerve, speaking of there's an old guy on the bars that's in the wrong job entirely and has no sense of customer service no-matter how nicely you treat him. Also the standard wine on offer is quite terrible and when asked for red wine that hadn't been in the fridge I got looked at like I'd killed his cat....... come on it's not that hard.
Entertainment
They tried and they had different acts hired every night which ranged from a magician whose finale involved turning a felt ring into types of hat ? to a parrot show with disobedient fighting parrots ! Not really my thing anyway but unintentionally amusing at least. If you care about the evenings proceedings, get in there early and get a seat as the room is far too small for the hotel and a lot were left out with their drinks in the lobby. The two young girls who did the activities for the hotel and bingo etc in the evenings were really nice and friendly and great with everyone's kids.

Summary
Good standard accommodation and surroundings are really let down with the food and it seemed that facilities including pool area would be strained in peak season. Free well-covered Wi-Fi is a nice bonus. I wouldn't come here again as although it would be ideal for self catering there isn't enough near the hotel to be fed and entertained (ate out one night at steakhouse up road was terrible, paid more than you would at home for fillet steak and got two pieces of at best rump that I think had been in freezer) If they increased the variety of food and drinks it would go a long way.
Generally we felt that staff were good although on our last day our transfer came early and the reception guy said he'd phoned to tell us and we didn't answer when we told him we'd been in the apartment all morning he looked like he knew he'd been caught out, could have sent someone even as we were only a few blocks away, cost us €60 for a taxi.... thanks for that !

I have been visiting Malama regularly for the past 11 years. It is a place that continues to delight. The staff, most of whom have been there for years are always courteous and helpful.
Malama is a lovely holiday village right on the beach. Every morning an army of cleaners converge on the poolside to clean and sweep making it ready for each day. There have been many improvements over the years the latest being the Repos and Sea View Bars which are lovely.
The food is buffet style with a different theme each evening. The food is of a good standard.
Malama is family friendly and a safe place for children. There is a baby pool which is suitable for young children and two other pools. There are plenty of sun beds around the poolside.
The apartments are furnished to a good standard and there is a regular maid service.
In the evening there is entertainment firstly for the children and then all the family.
Malama is a lovely tranquil place, has a good vibe and I would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for poolside view.

The Malama Holiday Village is a great place to relax and to spend the holidays in Cyprus. Everything was very good like the rooms or the pool. Most of the staff like Laci or Carolina was very friendly and helpful. The Diving Center of Priamos and Marios was also very friendly and diving with them is a lot of fun!!!
The buffet was excellent and very varied but the best food during these two weeks was the fresh food of Vidas. This very friendly and creative cook always made great things in front of his customers. Was a pleasure!
