Just returned from two weeks at Malama Beach and could not have had a better time . Travelled as a family with a 17 yr old son and 14 yr old daughter. The one bed apartment was really spacious and more than adequate for four adults. We were bed and breakfast basis with a view to possibly upgrading to all inclusive, but as we were pleasantly surprised at how much cheaper it was to eat out this year, especially in Protarus (which you could reach on a bus ride only 1.5 euros each) we ate out most nights. There is also a lovely bakery and take out around the corner MARANGOS which did great take out (the stuffed vine leaves were great as we're the desserts)The breakfasts were fabulous in Malama and the food looked great at other meal times, but at 40 euros each per day we felt was not best value for us.
The location was amazing, with a beach overlooked by the pool, great watersports on hand. The sports programme meant our family could play boules, table tennis, water polo, football, tennis, squash, volleyball, daily . We went away wondering if our young adults would be bored teenagers as they are older, but as sports fans they loved it.
Every member of staff was fantastic. Special mention to Ellie and Eddie in the entertainment team who were fantastic. Also to Chara behind the sea view bar. Even the cleaning team were really amiable.
Only downside was that the evening entertainment could have been better.
Thanks to the whole team there . We hope to return again and will recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: All rooms seemed well placed. We overlooked the piazza where people ate but was handy walk to everywhere.

We (My Wife, Myself and 15 Year Old Daughter) have just returned from The Malama Holiday Village (Stayed 27/07/2014-10/08/2014) and I can honestly say it has been one of the best and most relaxing two week holidays I have had for a long time.
The Accommodation (Room 1822) was spotlessly clean and combined Bedroom, Lounge, Kitchen and Bathroom which were all more than adequate. I would certainly recommend booking a sea view.
The staff in the hotel from the time you Check-In to the restaurant to the bar team are all so friendly and very attentive.
Special mention should go to Helly, Eddy & Miro from the animation team they kept my daughter and myself entertained especially for The Water Polo (3.00 o'clock every afternoon except Sunday) it is also a great way to meet other people and different nationalities. Even the Russians mellowed a bit after a couple of days.
The Bar Staff. Jonny, George, Chara and Marinos were not just very good at their job but also great company.
Food excellent with a huge variety available most days and always fresh.
Hope this helps
Dave (York)

Room Tip: Sea View and if you can get it room 1822

Our 3rd time at malama , it gets better each time , only downside was the Russians who I found a very rude bunch , no please and thank you to staff very miserable ( this was sorted out when large travel company in Russia went bankrupt and they all had to leave ) as soon as this happened the hotel was a more pleasant place to be , kids club is great ran by hellly eddy and Miro , great to take kids out of sun for a few hours . George who is a new addition on the bars has some great ideas and I hope the hotel implement some of them ,Jonny was great as was demetris, marinos and all other staff .panicos the maître d has a great manner about him as does George and Doros in restaurant, anelia never stops smiling and is always polite .the hotel is just great . Met some great friends there and are planning to revisit same time as them next year, a special mention to alexia who will do anything for you and is always polite .we ate out about 5 times during our stay at some very upmarket restaurants and can honestly say the food was no better than what we recieved in hotel. Thank you malama once again.my children we're hysterical when we left .

This hotel is amazing, the rooms are huge, kitchen has everything you need, the hotel grounds are immaculate. The pools are brilliant, loads of sunbeds, if you want one near pool you have to be up around 8am but there's always loads spare on the sandy area near small bar. The animation team and chara the bar lady were the hardest workers I've ever seen. Bad points over zealous adults playing french boules, waterpolo and football etc against kids, the adults spouting rules all the time and desperate to win at any cost, no queueing system at bar, if you don't speak up you get overlooked and finally if your self catering and paying for drinks at bar make the barstaff aware of this as twice they took my drinks back and filled them up to the top and gave us different brands to the all inclusive guests.

When speaking about Malama, the best thing there is people, employees. Wonderful! Such a great service. It doesn't matter about whom we are speaking, front desk, customer relation manager, waiter/waitresses, animation team, all are polite, gently and willing to answer any question you have. They bought us with this and we are sure that we will come back into Malama. The whole complex is very nice and silent. Apartments are very big and clean. Small beach is located just a dozen of steps away. Every problem you might have, reported to front desk or guest relation manager is sorted out immediately. Any wish also. We never had such a service and traveling around quite a lot. Our apartment consisted of two huge rooms where you really feel so comfortable, with two LCD TV sets and a whole kitchen which we hadn’t used while we had all inclusive package. Also hotel complex besides very nice pools has a very nice children playground as well as 2 tennis fields. Food variety on the buffet is maybe not huge but all what you find there is very tasty.
Just to not sound as a Malama PR there are some stuff which we think they should improve. For example as a guests with an all-inclusive package we didn’t liked that we had to pay for a safe in the room. It is just a 20€ but for me looked like hotel is bagging money from us. Similar is for the Wi-Fi which is quite expensive and the quality needs to be better. Definitely they needs more access points. Those are minor issues. The bigger one concerns employees. I personally didn’t like to see the same people working all the day. This looked odd. This is critic to management that they need to bring more employees there so that they can have more free time. I guess similar is everywhere else but here was so obvious.

Room Tip: The great appartment next to the swiming pool, 1602. Actually all apartments in the house 16 are great.
