“Quality....at a price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2012

Arrived early morning to be informe that they didn't have a side view room available (as booked) and we were to be "up-graded" to a sea view room but the first night would be in a Duplex Suite and we would be moved the following day. Obviously pleased with the upgrade but not the necessity to change.
The Duplex Suite was a disappointment, very small bedroom area and a downstairs "suite" although there was a jacuzzi outside which we did not have the opportunity to use.
The next day we moved to a sea view room which was excellent, spacious, clean and with a lovely view.
The hotel is fabulous, staff are professional, friendly and the general level of service is very good although at times the Pool Bar service was somewhat slow. The breakfast is absolutely superb.
Only real gripe is the cost of drinks which were ridiculous hence the bar areas were generally very quiet.
Our 4th visit to Protaras and little has changed although this year the strip was much quieter than previously...a sign of the times no doubt.
Overall would I stay here again....yes definitely but not in a duplex suite!!

Having grown up staying at this hotel at various points from a young child to my late 20's I can say it's nothing short of perfect. The hotel itself has been transformed over the years and is now a modern but still warm hotel that houses excellent staff. They have welcomed my family and looked after my parents year in year out and they continue to choose this fantastic hotel for that very reason. All the staff have plenty of time for you and treat you more as a friend than a customer. The location is central and a short 1 minute walk to bars and restaurants but is not disturbed later at night for those wishing to sleep. It is directly located on fig tree bay which is an award winning beach and is simply the cleanest beach i've ever been on. All in all the facilities, the hotel, the staff, and location make this a perfect choice for all ages.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic but as always if you can spend a little extra side sea or sea view rooms off...

Capo Bay Hotel. I might be the biggest fan. Its the third year in the row that I have stayed there. This year paying for a double room, I was upgrated to a superior room. The room was on the 4th floor, exactly under the Kitchen's fan. Although the view was fantastic you couldn't sit outside on the veranda because of the very annoying smell and noise which you could still listen even if the door was closed. (the noise stopped at mitnight). I am sure the the hotel staff knew that fact. So why upgrating us?

Room Tip: Not under the kitchen's fan if you choose to be on the 4th floor.

I’m 22 and my partner is 23. We love a good night life but we also love a bit of romance. This hotel is perfect the grounds are a so tranquil and tropical. You feel so spoilt and that you really are being looked after without being harassed or bothered. Every single member of staff are so polite from night staff, sweet little maids who always say “good morning” and if the room is clean enough for us, Spa staff, Pool staff, receptionists, bell boys and any other members of staff that I haven’t mentioned they are just superb.
Even though there are children and when you’re a young couple in the most polite way the last thing you want on a romantic holiday are screaming children. There are so many places you can have a sun bed so you’re not all crammed together, which I think this is such a good layout so everyone gets the best of both worlds.
The strip is loud and if you are home before closing of the bars then I would recommend you request a sea view room. The noise never affected us as we were never home before 2am.
We are definitely returning next year for another relaxing romantic holiday at Capo Bay.
On Another note can also highly recommend BookCyprus.com for hotels and transfers so easy and again so professional and polite.

Happy Holidays :-) x

If you decide to go to this hotel alone you will end up making lots of friends. If you go as a couple you will have unforgettable romantic moments, and if you go with your kids you will spend a real quality family time.I stayed a couple of times last year and I thought the bar was placed too high. Not for Capo Bay.Their standards are even higher this year.Congratulations for the manager and his team for making this hotel I think the best in the island

Where do we start?!?! We have just returned from a 2 week bed & breakfast stay at Capo Bay Hotel (where we also got married) and my goodness it was absolutely fantastic. This has to be the best holiday we have ever had.

From when we arrived (midnight) you were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The hotel was perfect, very clean and modern and in a great location on Fig Tree Bay. The surroundings were beautiful, especially the koi fish ponds.

We stayed in a superior sea view room, which was very spacious, considering we had our 2 children with us aged 3 & 1 so needed to sleep 3 and have room for a cot. The shower was lovely with wall jets and the bed was big & very comfy. You had tea/coffee making facilities if required and a safe set up in the cupboard. If you wanted you could have clean towels & sheets everyday. The maids were lovely & very friendly.

Breakfast choices are brilliant, anything & everything you could think of. From freshly made in front of you omlettes (very yummy) to full english breakfast or healthy fruit & museli. To add to this fab breakfast you could even have champagne or make your own bucks fizz!!

Another great thing this hotel does is reserves your sunbeds for the whole duration of your stay, so no need to get up early to put towels down. Same beds, same place everyday. Only tip we have is reserve the beds until the day after your due to fly home as the pool attendants may give them away on your last day when you may still want them.

The pools are lovely, big & clean. One pool just for adults and the other for all ages, which is partly partitioned so the young kiddies know where is shallow. My husband also spent a lot of time in the jacuzzi (with a pint or two!).

One thing we didn't use was the spa facilities, but they looked great and were free of charge to the hotel guests. One for next time!

Our wedding was an absolutely amazing day all thanks to Katerina & Kate the wedding organisers at the hotel & Medweds (a wedding specialist company in Cyprus). We can not thank them enough for everything they did to make our wedding a very special day. Nothing was too much trouble from sitting down with them to arrange music, drinks & food to table planning. Medweds were fantastic with organising the cake, flowers, photographer & decorations. Everything was 100% perfect.
We had the wedding reception on the Bay View Terrace which was really lovely and the food was amazing (we chose BBQ buffet). George & Aphodite were fantastic, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble as they were seeing to 35 guests!! You can stay on the Bay View Terrace until 11pm but we moved on to the KOI bar at about 9.30pm. It's a good idea to reserve seats in the KOI so you can ensure you get a comfy sofa/beanbag. Just e-mail Katerina and she will arrange that for you. We had the rest of the wedding reception across the road at a cocktail bar called 'The Love Boat'. They do some delicious cocktails at very reasonable prices.
We had an absolutely fantastic wedding which went perfectly and all guests really enjoyed themselves. To top it off we had champagne breakfast in bed the next morning!! What was also a lovely surprise was Katerina & Kate gave us two wedding gifts, first being a parasailing trip with 'Stavros Watersports' based just below the hotel on Fig Tree Bay and second being a candlelight dinner for two at the KOI. The parasailing trip was great and very enjoyable and the meal at the KOI was out of this world. It was one of the best meals we had (and we ate out every night somewhere down the 'strip'), the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly and polite. - Thanks again Katerina & Kate.

Food & drinks in the hotel are quite pricey (however very yummy) compared to the restrurants/bars on the 'strip'. We definatly recommend Friends Bar, The Love Boat & Cheers for reasonable/cheap drinks and Molti, Paladena & Olympus for great dinners. These are all within 2-5 minutes from walking out of Capo Bay.

For those with children, there is a great crazy golf course 3-4 minutes walk away which also has kiddie rides for 1 euro (just turn left out of Capo Bay Hotel's road and you'll see the illuminating lights on your right).

We hope this review helps you just like all the reviews before we went helped us. We seriously had the best time and have already booked to go back for our 1st Wedding Anniversary!!

See you next year Capo Bay!!

x

This is a very nice and high standard hotel on one of the most nice and popular beache of protaras, cyprus the fig tree bay. Fantastic breakfast, and the restaurant next to the pool is fine but not value for money some things are very expencise.....The rooms are a bit small but very clean and generally because it was renovated a few years ago it has a tidy and modern style. This is a hotel for demanding visitors and its also a bit expensive...but i went there with my family a lot of times just for weekends and once for 4 days and we had a fab time. And also its in a great location you can find restaurants, pubs in just 2 min walking. Hope i help!!!!
