“It just gets better”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

Where do I start ? Lets work backwards a little for a change. On nearly the last day we had been talking to Andreas who runs the bar/restaurant about some dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) we had eaten while on a drive out to another village. So he actually brought some from home for us to try and they were absolutely lovely. It appears they might be added to the hotel menu now, which is great. How many hotels would do something like that ? This is why people love this place, because of the personal service from fantastic staff.
We have been to the hotel numerous times and will keep doing so, because they have it right ! They look after you like they might a family member. You are the one that is important to them, not some schedule or set out procedure. They even offered to open the shop back up to get a large bottle of water passed midnight !
The hotel has the main essentials for a holiday in the sun (pool, bar, restaurant/snack, clean rooms and its own shop) and some of the best staff you will find in any industry !
I should say that the hotel doesn't have a gym, cinema or anything fancy, its just a basic hotel that is kept clean and run well. If you want 5 star amenities you have to pay those prices.

This is our fifth time at the Livas and yes we would stay again. The location of this Hotel is perfect, as there are many great facilities close by – and we do mean close and within walking distance. These include a great beach, good eating places and there is also a supermarket which is based within the Hotel.

All the staff are very friendly and very obliging – nothing is too much trouble. Every here speaks very good English and they do appreciate it if you try to speak a little Greek back to them.

The rooms are cleaned 5 days out of 7 every week and one of the non cleaning days will be a Sunday, for obvious reasons. Bed linen and towels are changed twice a week. The rooms are cleaned to a good standard and if you need extra towels and bedding, you can get them for a small fee.

Other facilities are a restaurant with a bar, good sized swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas.

We have seen a number of poor reviews for this Hotel but I think that people are too fussy and expect too much. We got a very good deal from a web-based tour operator and got very good value for money.

You do have to pay for the air conditioning but then you have to pay for this in every Hotel of this class in Cyprus.

Room Tip: We would recommend that when you book ask for a top floor " pool view "

We stay twice a year sometimes with family and we have never found anything worth complaining about... Yeah the sofa beds are a bit uncomfortable and the kitchen isn't as equipped as you would have it at home but to be honest... Who wants to cook a Sunday roast or a casserole when they're on holiday?? Even if it IS self catering.... The beds in the bedroom are some of the most comfiest beds I've slept in and the general cleanliness of the rooms etc is 5* when we have stayed. The only real grumble I'd have with the accommodation is that the bathroom only has that one little sloping shelf under the mirror to put things and the bathroom light is blue oh and the bathroom sink plug doesn't fit we'll so you have to keep topping up the water. Now some people might think these are things to moan about but I don't...
Down stairs at the pool, it's so relaxing under one of the many sun shades that's just drift off and then wake up later ready for my lunch or tea at the poolside bar... Andreas and his family will do anything they can for you and their food is really nice.... Yeah ok it's not fine dining, it's pool bar food so the menu is kinda limited but still quite large from burgers to pitta breads to traditional Cypriot food to omelettes and of course a full English although koko's bar a little further up the Main Street has a much better breakup for less money too...
All in all a very basic holiday complex but has all the amenities you would need to enjoy yourself and all the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Well done to Yianna and her family and Andreas and his bar staff

I can only write about my experience at the livas our one bedded room also kitchen and bathroom were sparkling clean the bathroom is a good size as is the bedroom the kitchen area has everything you could need including cooker with oven and fridge
(remember to switch it on at the wall as it will not work ) all cutlery and crockery pots and pans all were very clean upon arrival our room was cleaned every other day with sheets and towels changed regularly I must say the maids were brilliant taking great care in their work as well as trying to teach me to speak Cypriot they are a hoot and are very hard working downstairs is a well shaded sun terrace and pool bar with sun loungers and shades over the loungers they serve breakfast lunch and dinner with Daily specials at a very good price as are the drinks with happy hours on a range of drinks and cocktails
Andreas runs the bar and pool area with his family all of whom are fantastic and will do anything to make your holiday a good experience
The reception desk is manned 24hours so if you do have a problem it is sorted there and then wich is very good service
The on sight shop stocks a massive range of goods and if for some reason they do not stock what you want they will try their hardest to get it for you
the bars and restaurant surrounding the livas a very good also all offering a three course special from as little as twelve euros
There is a good pub across the road called the barley mow this does good music and karaoke if you like that kind of thing and sometimes a quiz wich is quite good fun
I have to say I cannot fault the staff ,service, hotel ,or pool bar they make our holiday as memorable as possible so don't be put off by other comments I would not be returning again shortly to this hotel and if you want a five star holiday do not go to the livas you get what you pay for and if you want five star then go and pay five star prices they are a very good three star hotel with five star hospitality my husband and myself and our friends can't wait to return
So all livas staff carry on doing what you do best making sure all your guests have a fantastic holiday once again a very big thank you

The hotel wasn't clean, the balcony wasn't cleaned in the fortnight we were there, and the bins in the bathroom were left sometimes for two days. The kitchen area had very few facilities. The food in our fridge had to be thrown away after two days. The air conditioning is very expensive and you have to pay for each individual room !! The lift was out of commission twice during our stay. The pool area has no shade. Food at hotel and surrounding area was expensive.
Nice beach two minutes walk away.

Room Tip: The service was not good at the hotel and I would say about 80 - 90 per cent of the staff were almos...

Thank you for your review. As I have read you are really dissappointment with our property. Our swimming pool area has umbrellas that offer you shade. Is there a reason you couldn't use them? Regarding the aircondition charge, tour operators choose not to include the aircondition in their price so that they can have low cost packages. They mention that it is paid locally in their brochure. As we are always trying to improve our services, please contact me on info@livashotelapts.com to inform me on which apartment you had during your stay so I can check which maid was cleaning you and please let me know of the staff who were rude to you. I believe that you never mentioned anything while you were here and I wish you had since we could solve many of the problems you had.I await for your email. Thank you

We visited the Livas apartments for two weeks end of June 2012, the Hotel rooms were very basic but the amount we paid for the holiday this was to be expected, although the mattresses desperately need renewal, and the rooms need updating. The hospitality and food 9 especially barbecue night at the Pool bar was superb and together with the best pool i have ever had the pleasure to swim in it made for a good holiday, although in Cyprus if you buy a drink at the bar of any hotel you can use the pool for as long as you want, just a little tip in case you get fed up at your poolside. The hotel is situated very central to the beach, shops and lots of choices of different food restaurants, great holiday location. The hotel charge extra for air-con so this can step up the bill. Definitely would go back even if only for the hospitality.
