When we booked online last minute for a very good price..studio inland view..we expected exactly as stated. We were warmly greeted on arrival only to arrive in our room which was a 1 bedroom apartment that could sleep up to 5 with not just a view of the lovely pool but also the sea. Everything was clean..basic but what you require in a budget holiday. Without a doubt the highlight in this holiday for us was the excellent service from the wonderful barman Spiros. He went above and beyond..pointing out that not all fish dished are fresh majority is frozen and upon our order collected a delicious Seabass from the local market for us to enjoy that evening..One of many highlights after visiting this wonderful resort. Thanks to the Artemis team we hope to return!!

After spending two weeks here, I didn't want to leave. Everyday we felt completely welcome and totally at home. The hotel staff could not do more for you. We ate at the hotel almost everyday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner and I could not fault one meal. The food was absolutely delicious. The bar man, treated us like we were his own family, doing more than what his job description. My sister had badly burnt her arm in the sun and he went to buy her some yoghurt to cool it down. The actual room was very comfortable and had good facilities. Anything you need at anytime would be done for you.

We had two weeks at this welcoming and friendly hotel and had a great time. We made lots of friends and the children had lots of fun. All staff are always there to help and the food and drinks were fantastic. We will be going again the same time next year without a doubt!

We have just had a wonderful 2 weeks holiday again at this hotel and it is even better than last year if that is at all possible. The rooms have new curtains, air con, gardens have been wonderfully landscaped to give everyone a poolside and sea view, and although some staff have changed we found everyone so helpful, friendly and happy.it is so welcoming that we were smiling from the minute we got there to our leaving. The rooms are absolutely spotless, the food so plentiful, varied and available from breakfast until late at night. The Manager spoke to us every day to ensure our stay was ok and nothing was too much trouble. The Bar staff Spyros and Alex are absolute gems and have kind words for everyone, they are the salt of the earth and treat ALL guests the same. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends and cannot understand how anyone could not enjoy this hotel. Yes it's a short walk to the main nightlife on the strip and Protaras itself has lots to offer, plenty of restaurants and bars. We can't wait to go back there in September, thank you Artemis for a memorable stay.

First review I have ever felt the need to write and for all the right reasons! If you want clean, safe and friendly this is the place to go!

First visit to Cyprus, would definitely go back! Travelling as a trio of girls we felt extremely safe. The hotel is situated a short walk from the main strip, on the way you'll pass a number of small restaurants. We were a little out of season so a few places were just starting to open up, however there's enough around, a shop over the road, another a little further down and a Lidl on the main road about 10 minute walk. Location wise, you are close enough to be part of everything or escape it all, or a good stroll to walk off dinner!

A night porter is always present, either Jimmy or Nigel, who were both helpful and friendly.

The pool bar is better than others I have been too. Spyros runs the bar, 8 am til midnight, sometimes later depending on how busy - he remained respectful of all guests - the later it was the quieter the music became. We ate lunch daily at the pool bar, a very good standard of food, and the prices were very good and competitive with the strip. A varied menu is offered and presentation of food is comparable to restaurants - it's the little touches that make a difference! We tried breakfast on our last couple of days and wished we'd had every day! When ordering food, Spyros would come and sit down to take your order, have a little chat, see how your day had been etc. Moving onto drinks - happy hour is a must! Spyros knows a thing or two about cocktails, he remembers your favourites, what sort of thing you like - he rustled up a few that weren't on the menu after we challenged him and we were not disappointed!!! Alex, was also a very friendly face around the bar area.

Hotel staff were friendly, we asked about a few trips and places they would recommend to see and how to get to certain places. Every morning we were greeted with a smile and a 'Good Morning' as we came out of the lift.

The rooms were spacious, separate bedroom and living area as well as a balcony. The shower was powerful everyday - a big positive! The view from the room was great, overlooking the pool and further out the the sea - such a nice thing to wake up to! The sun is on the pool area all day. Few extras - Air Con was about 35 euro per week and the safe 12 euro - good value!

Pool area has plenty of sunbeds and space to move around. The pool was perfect for cooling off in. As well as the outside pool there was one inside which although we didn't use, looked very clean.

Met some lovely guests while holidaying - one lady was in a wheel chair - the staff went above and beyond to make sure she could get around the pool bar area - helping her up and down the ramp, moving chairs etc. We met a number of couples who had returned year after year. We also met a couple who had previously stayed in a 5 star hotel on the strip, but said the Artemis provided everything they needed and was more relaxed (commenting on the staff being friendly not only to them but their children too) - after all, you don't go on holiday to sit in the room!

While we were there there were a couple in incidents which staff reacted to brilliantly! Firstly, my friend needed medical assistance, as soon as we asked about the doctor, a call was made for us and they came to the hotel, we had to pop to the clinic for further assistance, but on our return the staff were concerned and asked everyday how things were. Another incident, not us but a family, had lost the room key, the little girl had said she had played with it but was too young to say where she'd put it, however, Spyros helped to look for the key, something he didn't have to do in between serving us our meal. It seemed as if nothing was too much trouble!

A couple of places to try: Georginas or Georgias (try the mash), Hippo Campus, Love Boat, the Mexican (El Chico) and the Raj.

I would have no hesitation to stay at the Artemis again - thoroughly enjoyable - massive thank you to the staff :)

Room Tip: Room overlooking the pool, and higher floor for sea view!
