1st of all just wish to say Tasos and family at bar and pool make this holiday much better than it would have been if they weren't there. Tasos and Jane and all catering and bar staff work exceptionally hard and are pleasant and a credit to this hotel. Also wish to say that Gregory on reception is excellent - others do not come across as well but think part of this is because they are not English so that is unfair from others whom have made these comments. The Andreotis is basis from a room perspective - Air Con is a must as is a fan especially if you stay in August as we have done - back home today 21st August after 10 days. The beds are ok - 2 singles that can be pushed together in main room (has air con) other put up beds not so comfy and no air con in living room - hence the fan. We put the eldest daughter on put up bed and youngest daughter slept with us in main room - seemed to work best. Kitchen ok - we ate out so never used it. Shower ok - small but workable curtain round small base - was suitable to service us all - 1 woman, 2 girls and me - lots of time in the bathroom. Balcony for room 310 was disappointingly small and view not great - asked to move to bungalows at back but full and full to end of AUGUST - lots of repeat visitors. Resort - Fig Tree Bay lovely but madness of last week had all Cypriots on their holidays so could not move. Went to smaller konossos bay - lovely with sunbeds that you could take into sea - cheap as well but take drinks as only 1 bar charging lots of money. The thing that makes this a place to go are TASOS and his team - They must keep the rating up as they work very hard and TASOS knows everyone's name from day 1 - brilliant and a big thank-you to them. The break-fast is excellent on site - 5.2euros for big breakfast with orange j and coffee - had breakfast on site 9/10 mornings. Pool is excellent and Jane at pool bar works her socks off - thank you Jane. As said - Gregory on reception is brilliant , a credit also to hotel - a walking encyclopedia of help on Protaras and Cyprus places to see. The sunbed thing is not great - loadsa of beds but clearly not enough in high of season - August - this is an issue everywhere but one I didn't see coming here as little mention. Started 1st week by coming down after 8.30 as per 'polite request' notice only to see most beds reserved - by last 4 days - joined in with the rest and at earliest got up at 7.30 am to get beds - other's did earlier some as early as 6.45am - this is thing I hate most - Please invest in some more beds they could be used as there was plenty of space around pool and even more on grass near small pool. Around town - was one long strip of shops, bars and entertainment - food priced very well - never a bad meal and all at a good price - Cheap and cheerful Cheers bar served 2 adults and 2 children with drinks and food for between 30 - 40 euros. More expensive ones can be found - the most we paid was 65e. Weather was unbelieveably hot although you acclimatise!!!!! 40 degrees plus in August - never again although have best suntan and used highest factor creams. What made this place was the people that came here - all up for a laugh no-one with any pretensions or snobbery - everyone mixing at pool and bars and all being brought together by on-site entertainment when it was on - TVs for sport- plenty of place to sit and drink. A big thank you to all my friends that we met - especially Graham and Steve and their 2 families (Scarlett gets a mention from Charlotte) for Manchester, Mark and his 2 sons Jordan and Lee ( get a mention from Hannah) who were great and Steve and Irene (Emma gets a mention from Charlotte) from Wigan and David and (forgot name) from Holmfirth - many others too many but all made the 10 days brilliant - Our overall summary - TASOS and staff were excellent, the people that we met were excellent, hotel was ok, resort was ok but very busy, air con and beds were not good. Hope this helps. PS No f ing fish to be caught in the sea around Proraras - Caught just 3 fish - gave up trying by end of 10 days (Spoilt by fishing in Lanzarote). Other PPS Do the Parasailing - brilliant. Joe, Cherrill, Hannah and Charlotte

Room Tip: Ask for the bungalows but difficult to get them - all rooms seem similar. August temps are very hot and air con is a must as is a fan and even then still very hot.

Mmm so many amazing reviews on here but i cant say our experience was the same. I agree with the positive reviews regarding the restaurant and the hardworking and attentive staff who work there, the very good quality of the food, and attention to detail re Tasos. Jane at the pool bar also excellent.

I thought the reception staff were pretty dire tho. Everything too much trouble, and seemed to find any complaint amusing, met with shrugging of shoulders and smirks. From my observations and overheard conversations, it seems that preferential treatment is given to repeat stayers and those who were prepared to be very insistent and assertive. Not what you really come on holiday for.

We hardly used the pool area, as preferred to be out and about, but when we did, i wasnt impressed with broken and smelly sunbeds, one so cracked my son literally fell through it. Surely they should be checked regularly, esp with a company like thomas cook using this complex?
When i mentioned this to reception, again no interest. They need to invest in some new beds and take a bit of pride.

There is a great swim up pool bar over the road and opposite andreotis apartments which we used, which doesnt get overcrowded and theres no obsessive sunbed hogging. Its also much cleaner and the water clearer than the Andreotis pool. Andreotis will only monitor sunbed usage if you ask, and the only one prepared to do this was Jane at the pool bar, the rep wasnt prepared to be pro active when i spoke to her. (I wondered if she was a bit intimidated about doing this as such an emotive subject?)

I also agree with the reviews about the aircon. Its only affective in the bedroom which leaves the rest of the apartment redundant as unbearable to sit in. The thought of actually cooking in it was not an option for us. Our apartment faced the road on 3rd floor so it got full sun from early on. Other apartments maybe more sheltered. We manged to put third bed in bedroom which left little room to move, but at least we could all use aircon this way. Check your crockery/cutlery/glasses before use as well, ours wasnt clean.

So the best i can say for this complex is average overall. Some investment into updating the rooms/sunbeds/aircon and customer service training for front of house staff, would go a long way to bringing it up to the higher standard that the restaurant staff have already achieved.

I stayed here for two weeks in July with the other half and had a lovely stay at Andreotis, when we arrived we were made very welcome by Tasos(fellow man utd fan) and his wife Paula who own the hotel and all the staff were extremely friendly, I would definitely recommend the Sunday lunch absolutely gorgeous. The one bedroom apartment we had was clean and towels bedding were changed every other day, only problem is that there were a lot of ants about so make sure you put your food in the fridge or would be throwing a lot of food away. The beach is 10 min walk away and there is a lidl about 15 mins away. We used the bus service regular for £1.50 and £2.50 after 11 for trips to ayia napa, nissi beach or paralimi which was very good value with air con on board. Highly recommend go to konnos bay where you can take the sun beds into the water and it’s a gorgeous beach. Andreotis is a lovely place to stay and would definitely go back again.

This is our second time at Andreotis, we traveled as two families with three kids and an infant. the hotel is accessible for a buggy and fairly safe for a little one (the close proximity to the main road is a bit of a concern but obviously you wouldn't let little ones run around alone). they have a games room at the bar and pool tables to keep the kids busy, we'd like to see a small play area if we returned (they have loads of garden space to install something small) To be honest, the hotel is very clean, spacious and good value for money, you can get a sunbed almost everyday if you're up before 10/11am, the rep removes the towels if they've been reserved early and no-one is there....the bar staff, tasos and his family make the holiday though, nothing is too much for them, they are all so friendly and really make you feel welcome and they are the main reason we went back again this year. the meals are lovely, a good price and they stock a wide range of drinks which are relatively the same price as the main strip.
The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars is because of the air con, it's cool, but not cold and only covers the bedroom area not anywhere else in the apartment which isn't great when the kids move their beds into the bedroom too!

Room Tip: Bungalow rooms have a lovely pool view and are further away from the bar and main road.

My two daughters (both in their 20s)and I have had a lovely week staying in an apartment in the Andreotis. We were made very welcome by Tasos and his wife Paula who own the hotel and all the staff were extremely friendly.
The apartment was clean and attractive and the towels and bedding were changed every other day. The pool was fantastic for swimming and sitting around under the parasols. We liked the bar and restaurant area and the food was good with two specials every evening. We had an excellent moussaka one night.
It was easy to get around because there are frequent buses going up and down the coast between Paralimi and Ayia Napa costing €1.50 for any journey.
The beach was a short walk away and was really beautiful with crystal clear sea for swimming in.
This was a lovely holiday.
