“Good but Expensive place.”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

This is awesome place for holiday, apart from its price.....which is very expensive...... The room was pretty big, with huge balcony, very green surroundings. The food is also very good but expensive.. Most importantly, movie lounge is also very good. Overall, the place is WOW!

To me the place is good for elite people to spend money and enjoy there holiday.

The hotel management needs to get all the lighting on during night time outside which will make the hotel guest more comfortable. The executive suites are best. i stayed there its nice and awesome with jacuzzi. no complains about room its awesome but they need to less there pricing policies.

They need to maintain the food qualities in there island. Its also a nice place to spend some quaility time there.

Overall best place for holiday.

Room Tip: Choose the most expensive room as its the best.....

As a citizen of Dhaka city, we always dream for a relaxing tour in midst of nature with birds chirping in the morning, with yummy foods and relaxing atmosphere. In this search, we chose Nazimgarh resort couple of years back. Me along with my 2 other friends visited Nazimgarh resort and we must say that, we enjoyed to the fullest. First of all, we booked a room in Villa but later changed to terrace and it was a very good decision. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi was awesome. Restaurants are good. Swimming pool is fantastic. Bit expensive but worth every penny. Will definitely go again.

Room Tip: Terrace is nice. Villa is good too. No idea about bungalow.

I stayed here in early 2012 with my entire Finance team. We were group of 30+ people. It appears to be one of the best resorts of this country with its quite impressive structure and interior design. Room was clean and bath room was also clean. Hotel staffs were not so friendly and resort management was in one word arrogant and rude. At one point they just cut off the electricity of our out door BBQ party without any prior notice. At the time of check out they were not nice at all. Being the largest multinational company of this country, we left the resort without confronting them only to avoid any very public drama. I wonder how they would treat individual couple or small groups.
Boat trip to Lala Khal was mind blowing. I never expected such beautiful water colour in this country. Food was average and a bit spicy.

Dear Adnan,

Thank you for your comments. We are happy you found the rooms and bath clean and found the structure and interior design impressive. We appreciate your comment that you think it is one of the best resorts in the country.

We are also aware of the incident of the outdoor BBQ party though it took place a year and half ago. We discussed this matter with your senior management after your departure and they fully accepted our explanation. Bookings in the outdoor party area have specific timings. This is because the BBQ dinner is usually accompanied by live or DJ music over micro phone and very loud speakers. If the loud music continues late, it disturbs the other guests as well as all the neighbors around the resort. The option is to hold late night music parties indoors. In your case, the team management booked the premises from 7:30 to 10:30 PM with the categorical assurance that the music would cease by then. Though the dinner and music started at 8 PM, most of your team arrived late. However, by 10 PM most of the 30 plus guests left the venue for their rooms leaving behind only a handful of persons in “high spirits”. We requested them to stop the music by the agreed time of 10:30 PM. They asked for another 30 minutes. But when even after that they did not cease, but became even more boisterous, we were compelled to turn off the electric connection to the sound system.

Unilever is an international company with high ethical standards. The Finance team head appreciated the steps we took to ensure his team members did not continue to violate those norms. We continue to be a hospitality provider to Unilever and are proud to be associated this prestigious organization.

We are happy to see you found your trip to Nazimgarh Wilderness Lalakhal memorable and invite you to visit our new resort ‘Wilderness’ located there.

My husband and I (with our 2 sons) went on a holiday to Nazimgarh Resort this Eid to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The place is very nicely structured....rooms are lovely with a view of the rain-washed greens all around, the ambience of the resort is quiet and soothing. We specially loved the cycle track, the swimmimg pool and our boys loved the kids' playing room(with WI & KINEC). The buffet breakfast was OK, but we found the lunch and dinner too costly in terms of taste and quality. Facilities to go out and explore are varied such asboat trip to Lalakhal, tea gardens and the' Dargahs'.Overall, nice for a one-time experience.

Had stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with family.

Great stay at The Terrace (the main building) of Nazimgarh Resort. This is the only resort of it's kind in Bangladesh. They deserve many thanks for keeping an international standard ambient. Rooms are huge, clean. Amenities are fine. The architacteral design of the entire resort, especially the Terrace building is truly amazing. The design of each room is done in such a manner that while enjoying the lash greeneries sitting in the balcony, you will feel that you are in a very private balcony and no other balcony is visible both at your right and left side.

During our stay, we did not feel like to go out from Nazimgarh Resort. Yes, it is very true. In fact, this resort is equipped with almost all facilities that a resort should be. Swimming pool with fully equipped gym, spa, huge walking area surrounded by trees and overlooking small hills, eco friendly environment, children playground with gaming instruments, they have one room dedicated to kids which has everything a kid can ask for (Xbox, Play Station etc). A well stocked library, small theatre with great collection of movies. Restaurant serving local cuisine is the best among all restaurants in Sylhet (we had dined out at a few restaurants in Sylhet town but found Nazimgarh top). The complimentary breakfast was good too. What else we expect from a resort ?

The staffs are helpful, polite and friendly right from the reception to the house-keeping to in-room dining.

A small advise for the management, stains between the bathroom tiles should be cleaned on regular basis. The seatcovers of commode should be replaced from time to time.

Great place for holiday in Bangladesh, a bit expensive but worth it.

Room Tip: Room with balcony at the Terrace building.
