“A tranquil home from home in a beautiful region”
Reviewed 25 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

What a lovely place to stay on holiday, the villa is gorgeous, spacious, comfortable, and has everything one could need, including a beautiful little pool. The views from the villa and the infinity pool are stunning, and the sunsets are superb. Goody, the owner, lives on site and is ever helpful and a fountain of local knowledge. There are no shops nearby, so pick up supplies on route from the airport, yet it is only a short drive to town if you need (20-25 minutes). The mountain road is narrow and steep in places, but not difficult to drive, particularly if you've travelled around Greek islands where you'll often find more challenging drives. The local Santaba beach is the best (ask Goody for directions), or travel a bit further to Stoupa. Kalamata beach is busy and made of stones, fine if you don't mind either. The region is wonderful, the olives are the best (and Goody's husband makes the best olive oil), staying in the mountains is so peaceful, and very cool at night making sleeping in summer much easier than at sea level in my experience. Overall, a perfect place to stay and to visit on holiday.
