Just been to this b&b for one night, overall enjoyed our stay, staff friendly and welcoming, room comfortable but windows do not open....no shaver socket which was a problem....evening meal ok but needed more vegetables, breakfast not much choice if you are not a full english breakfast eater, coffee and tea slow service.....but we would go back if these issues are addressed.

Nice big comfortable king size bed. Good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Great location in the centre of town and a very good base to visit the Yorkshire Dales. We had dinner is the restaurant on two occasions and really enjoyed the food. We received a very warm welcome in this lovely English pub and enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Certain to return here! The family room on the top floor was brilliant. Spacious and comfortable. Very clean and lovely attention to detail... Staff all super polite and great food menu... 25 min wait for breakfast, but won't put me off! Cheers folks :-)

I have been in here a couple of times for drinks so decided to give the food a try. I ordered the BLT with a side portion of chunky chips. The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really nice with generous portions. Lovely atmosphere and great value for money. Plenty of space unlike some of the other local tea rooms.

Stayed here with my partner for one night (22nd Feb 2014). Picked this hotel because of the great price (£60 for B&B) and all the great reviews! It lived up to expectations, truly fantastic pub/B&B in a beautiful little town. Staff are fantastic, so friendly, helpful and smiley! :) Room was lovely, breakfast was fab. Had a great night in the pub in the evening, very busy and lively! We are definitely coming back in the summertime. Thank you Karen, Kate and all the staff x
