Description: The Brown Cow has been serving as a hostelry in Bingley for over 100 years. This family run pub, provides traditional & innovative home cooked food, individually selected wines and award winning cask conditioned ales from local breweries. All of this comes overlooking the riverside with a stunning view of the Bingley Parish Church, where the bells can often be heard. To the other side, lies the famous St Ives estate, where we find a walkers paradise along with a championship golf course, archery & fishing as well as much more. When the weekend arrives so do the local live bands, who can often be seen on Saturday nights along side a variety of fine food and cask ale based theme nights. With our traditional Yorkshire Hospitality & local products, The Brown Cow is the perfect place to Relax, Enjoy & Return.

Went on Friday evening with our two granddaughters. The food was excellent, very big portions, excellent value. The burgers are really very good. Lots of choice on the menu too. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

“Surprised to see poor reviews”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

I wonder if there are new people here because the food was really good, came out quite quickly and the people were friendly, mustaffa and sarah. It's a nicely decorated pub. Probably more of a winter pub, nice fires with seats arranged round. They had a function on so the bar was rammed but we still got served quickly and attentively.

“Very disappointed”
Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

I too bought a groupon voucher for pizza and sides. Firstly I would like to say how extremely difficult it is to get an answer on the telephone to book a table in advance...It just rings out continuously. After getting into the car to drive there in order to book we were told they had no tables free as there was a function....No worries...It happens. Again rang and rang...No reply. Drove there again and on seeing an empty establishment (apart from 3 people) we asked the bar lady if there was a table for 2...she replied yes..and as she was taking us to it I added it was a groupon voucher we wished to use. The lady then replied...oh no..sorry...we can't get you in today. How appalled were we! An empty pub should be welcoming people...we would have been buying drinks...all extra income! Anyway...we made a point while we were there to book for a fortnight later. That booking arrived and we had our pizza ( I have to admit was lovely) in a yet again empty establishment. We have had some fab groupon offers and all have been spent without a hitch...in fact most places are more than accommodating. I would not advise buying a groupon offer for The Brown Cow.

“Lovely old Pub, poor food”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

What a lovely old pub untouched which makes a pleasant change, unfortunately the food didn't match up, rather large menu which all sounded very good, but my sister had a Feta salad it looked awful very poor presentation..sent back brown lettuce, pleased to say we were not charged for it, mum and I just had fish & chips pleased to say real chips but nothing to shout about. I would also say over priced. But lovely staff....sorry for the bad review but food was not good, maybe got them on a bad day.....

“Really good meals”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I'm so surprised at the bad reviews of this restaurant. I've been twice at lunchtime and had really good meals, served without an unduly long wait. The Dragon sausages were delicious, the meal hot and attractively presented.
