I am always apprehensive when eating tapas outside of Spain, as more often than not I am served over-powering dishes, saturated with oil and practically inedible. I am happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised when dining at El Caballo Blanco in Bingley. The service was great, a perfect balance between attentiveness and friendliness from our hostess for the evening. A drinks order was taken first which allowed us to peruse the extensive menu - we opted for the quintessential Estrella Damm, the perfect beverage to accompany tapas. The hostess explained that the tapas experience lends itself to sharing the dishes - which was perfect for us as we had intended to do so. We ordered 5 dishes, one short of the recommended 3 each, but this caused no problem. The dishes arrived two at a time, again, great as this allowed us to sample each one without feeling over faced. The best dish by far was the Artichoke Gratin (Alcachofas Gratinados).
I would definitely come again, and perhaps this time I will manage to get dessert!
¡Muchas gracias! Una verdadera delicia...
