Stayed at the five rise locks hotel in April 2014. The hotel is a lovely break away from the hustle and bustle of a city centre hotel but still close enough to walk into the centre of Bingley, We were lucky enough to have some beautiful sunshine during our break away and the local five locks and the canal was the place to be, We then returned back to the hotel and enjoyed a few drinks from the bar on the terrace over looking the beautiful gardens of the hotel. In the evening we decided to stay in the hotel and sample the food given it had some wonderful reviews on tripadvisor. The food was outstanding up with some of the top restaurants also the service from the owners was second to none and i would not hesitate in returning and bringing along friends and family...

Thank you for a wonderful stay you should all be proud of your achievements with your hotel its a credit to your hard work and efforts

Visited on the spur of the moment when we decided to visit a steam rally at the Keighley railway.

There were 4 of us, couple, toddler and our dog honey.

The staff were welcoming from the initial enquiry, the room we were allocated was perfect for our stay, a nice quiet room for our toddler to sleep well, with black out curtains :-) a little door that was easily accessible to take our dog out for toilet breaks.

We ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the service warm and friendly.

A lovely retreat!

Would recommend.

We travel to Bingley regularly to see family. We usually stay at a Premier Travel Inn but my wife saw this hotel on Trip Adviser and booked it based on the reviews. The room was excellent, spacious and clean. Super bathroom with a great shower. We were travelling down from Scotland and were running late due to very poor weather. We had booked dinner for three of us and were going to be late. Called. No problem. Super.
It was Valentines day so knew there was a set menu, which filled me with dread. No worries as the choice and quality of food was excellent. All our steaks done perfectly to varying tastes. Also really good value for money and would recommend the restaurant on its own and I'm a picky diner. Also I need to say how welcoming the owners and staff are. Top job. Well worth trying if you need to stay in the area.

After staying in some places that were trying too hard to be novel, it was a joy to stay in this warm, welcoming, well presented hotel. I found our brief stay relaxing. We went to the Shama Restaurant in Bingley in the evening and had a great curry (take your own alcohol).

Decided to stay over when visiting Saltaire and was faced with a large choice of hotels in the area (many belonging to large hotel chain). Chose the Five Rise Locks Hotel from their website - a very wise choice!
Richard and Margaret are excellent hosts and everything is just as you would wish.
Go on - give it a try. You won't regret it.
