La Terrazza commands the best position in Bagno Vignoni Square. The food is very nice. But the service, when I was there, was truly Fawlty Towers. They took a long time deciding whether the could accommodate my group of seven on 17 August at 8.30pm. Once we got a table we were completely forgotten about. When we managed to call a waiter to our table to take our order her attention went somewhere else halfway through ordering. There was no way to call her attention back to our order. No drinks order was taken. Later when we wanted to order our drinks the male waiter said he would bring a drinks menu (which we did not need) and then he disappeared, never to be seen again. Once we got our food and drinks we were satisfied with the food. When it was time to pay, just before 10pm it was totally impossible to get any waiter to come to our table, so I walked up to the till to pay. "Just a moment, the kitchen is closing soon" the waitress said and continued to feed information into the kitchen via computer. She continued with this for three different tables until I raised my voice and then she walked me to another part of the restaurant where I could finally pay my bill.
