We were only in Colle di Val d'Elsa for one evening, so we didn't get to spend much time searching for a restaurant for dinner. I am glad we stumbled upon this spot with a lovely view. It was especially romantic when the sun went down. Our starters were AMAZING - I had some sort of vegetable cream mixture in a puff pastry. The pasta course was tasty, lasagna was good, but HUGE portions. The meat course was in the same vein. All in all, we left extremely sated.

We weren't in Colle di Val d'Elsa for long since we didn't have an itinerary but by the time we arrived we were clamoring for lunch. We picked this place precisely because of the location. It has outdoor seating with a lovely view. The lasagna was good (not the best I've had in Italy) be certainly very good. My husband really like the chicken in wine sauce. All in all, a solid place to dine.

First of all, the bartender makes a yummy Mojito! Very refreshing and just what was needed on a very hot July afternoon! Food very good. Had a farro salad and gnocchi which was delicious! Wait staff were friendly and nice atmosphere in outdoor seating area. A must!

I went here with a friend of mine. We had Antipastone, Puff Pastry filled with veg, Lasagna and a farro salad.

Where do I begin? The Antipastone 12 euro you get four mini cold salads two are papa pomodoro and panzanella, both of which tasted old but the main problem was the panzanella was pretty much soaked in aceto (vinegar), you also get two crostone, 1 piece of 3 kinds of salumi and a flan of some sorts for 12 euros it was very disappointing. The pastry was the highlight of the meal very flavorful and beautiful. That is where the compliments stop the mains 9 euro each the lasagna was not fresh it was definitely reheated in the over the pasta was dry, and my friend ate the Farro salad for 9 euro as well....... that blew my mind it may cost them a whopping 1 euro in product to make.

The problems do not end there though the wine Ciliegiolo wine for 18 euro a bottle was 12.5 ABV pale red in color very young and tasted strictly of acid and alcohol. Clearly too young. Now I go here a good amount for drinks and the atmosphere which is great. But the food sadly was disappointing especially for a steep bill of 60 euros at the end of it all.

This place is a great bar, great for drinks and live music but not for food.

We had the chicken dish and the pork dish with potatoes and salad and the children had lasagne. I think we each said it was the tastiest meal we'd had for a long time - and full of the Italian flavours that we had been seeking! We all mopped up the left over juices with bread and couldn't get enough! Fabulous lunch and we would love to go back before we leave Tuscany. Surroundings fabulous and view amazing - it is well worth the walk up the hill to find this place!
