Everything other reviewers has said is true. Yes is could do with a lick of paint, a bit of a scrub and so on, but this is provincial France and they don't run to the same tune as the rest of us. My guess is that Herve really caters to the local population and not the tourists though we're made welcome no question. The prices, the quality and range all tell you who the primary customers are, and guess what....he's pretty full, most lunches and with good reason. Good honest home cooking cuisine, nothing fancy but well prepared and presented. Rabbit, chicken, duck, they're all here....the menu du jour is the draw card and you won't find better value for 13.50 euros...entre, main, slice of cheese, dessert, carafe of local vino in as well.....sure it's not Michelin starred but you gotta love the place. NB: Only open for dinner at weekends.
