The Three Ways made a great base for our visit to the Cotswolds, close to National Trust Gardens at Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate. Our room was a reasonable size, light, clean and with a nice bathroom.
The three course evening meal was very good with a good choice, nice fresh vegetables and good portions. The breakfast menu choice was also very extensive the locally sourced ingredients were of a high standard.
There are nice gardens with seating which are great for pre-dinner drinks.
We would stay there again if in the area.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side of the building away from the road would probably be quieter.

It's worth staying at Three Ways House, even if it's just for the food. The rooms are reasonably comfortable - not first class, but you shouldn't expect luxury in what is an interesting country inn. If you can get access to a pudding club night, then your enjoyment is guaranteed (that is, provided you like puddings).

We arrived in the Cotswolds with no accommodation booked. This was not wise as it was the end of the week and all accommodation was booked out for the weekend in Chipping Campden. Any rooms available were very expensive come Friday night. However we were assisted by a hotel who contacted the Three Ways House Hotel, they had a room for 2 nights and the price was within our budget. We travelled the short distance just 4 miles to the next town, Mickleton and were greeted by the desk girl who informed us we were upgraded for no extra cost. We were very impressed and happy to have a room. She also gave us information of where to eat, we decided to take her advise and visit the little quaint pub down the road. It was very characteristic and we chattered at the bar with the locals, it was a lot of fun. The hotel is very clean, has loads of character but the rooms are modern. Breakfast was very good, all you could eat.

My wife and I stayed in the Three Ways recently, while attending a bee-keeping course nearby.

After a long drive from Yorkshire we arrived around 19:00 in the evening and ran straight into the tricky issue of parking on a Pudding Club night in Mickleton!. The car park of the hotel was full, and the rest of the village was equally 'full', with cars seemingly parked along every road in the place. Luckily, a space became available on our second circuit of the village, so we were eventually able to park quite close to the hotel.

The hotel itself is quite charming, old-world but with some lovely 'modern' touches. We were shown to our room (19) which was both clean and comfortable. Sadly, it overlooked a working area at the back of the hotel, so there was no great 'view' from it but that's just a minor quibble!. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room, along with some home-made biscuits, which were lovely and a really nice touch. TV reception was good, as was the wifi, which worked well in the room.

Since we weren't actually attending the Pudding Club, we opted to eat in the brasserie that evening, and were delighted to be shown to the little 'snug' area towards the back of the bar. This is a really nice small eating area, accommodating about 12 -14 people and again, the décor was a great mix of old and new, yellow stone walls with lovely modern paintings and decorations.

The menu for the brasserie was quite extensive, and the food was absolutely delicious - the steak and kidney pudding was one the best I've ever tasted, loaded with chunky meat pieces, just the right balance of kidney, and served with plenty of fresh vegetables which were also well cooked. The trio of puddings for desert (a taster for the Pudding Club, I suppose) came with loads of custard - of the three served, personally, I thought the Syrup Sponge was the best!

Breakfast the following morning was equally delicious, with the host from the Pudding Club cheerfully directing operations as all the guests arrived. A nice hot buffet (including, of course, black 'pudding') was available, and there was also a plentiful selection of fresh juices and also some home-made muesli and cereals.

Some other reviewers have commented on the blue décor, which they didn't like - personally, I liked it, especially the nice mix of the three different shades of blue used.

The staff, both those in reception and those in the brasserie were really friendly and very efficient - all-in-all, everything you would want from a good quality hotel!

Thank you for staying with us, I hope you enjoyed the beekeeping course, it certainly seems to be popular. I am sorry that you struggled to park when you arrived at the hotel, we do sometimes have an issue when we have a full hotel and the Pudding Club meeting, but usually there will be a space nearby. I am really pleased that you appreciated the quality of food you experienced both in the brasserie and at breakfast, we have a great kitchen team and some fantastic local suppliers. Room 19 is located at the rear of the hotel, so as you as you mention not a fantastic view but has the advantage of being very quiet.
I am glad you liked the shades of blue in the Restaurant, the majority of people do!
I look forward to welcoming you back hopefully for a slightly longer stay.
Kind regards
Simon Coombe

We stayed for three nights recently having not been to the hotel since 1989. Things have certainly changed since then but the quality of the food remains excellent. There have been some extensions built to accommodate more rooms and the hotel now has a more modern feel to it. We had paid extra for an upgraded room but it was in the new part of the hotel and rather featureless, but it was large. My only reservation concerned the cooked breakfast which was served from a hot station, I think for a four star hotel the breakfast should be cooked to order.
