“My niece's wedding in Fayence 2014”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Our family and friends booked all the rooms in Hotel les Oliviers for the wedding and the very hospitable hotel owners could not have done more to help us. The rooms are a good size and incredibly clean (all have their own hairdryer and power shower). The breakfasts are generous and it is a lovely start to the day to breakfast outside on the veranda near the pool in the sun. The coffee is to die for! Fayence is a very pretty town with a very nice restaurant about 2 minutes' walk from the hotel and is close to a lot of beautiful sights, la gorge verdon being but one like the Grand Canyon but green!). We really enjoyed just driving round the picturesque villages and chatting to the locals who are all very friendly and appreciate it if you try to speak french.

We stayed here for 2 nights in late May ‘14 at the end of our three week exploration of the Var and Cote d’Azure. We wanted a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in an interesting region not too far from Nice. The Hotel Les Oliviers was a good choice, though if this were at the beginning of our trip we might have chosen a hotel more central to the old town area.

Les Oliviers is located at the base of the old town on the main road. This was convenient for exploring the area but it was a bit far to walk to the old core. Driving was no problem, however, and there was a fair amount of public parking higher up. The hotel is attractively designed as an older building from the outside but is quite modern on the inside. Our room (203) was large and well laid out with adequate room for suitcases and storage. There was a desk, tv stand, comfortable double bed with two night stands, a built in closet (no safe), a coffee maker and small refrigerator. The bathroom was also large and attractive with a shower only.

The included wife worked well. Breakfast was extra (10e), served in a pleasant area off the lobby. We didn’t try it so we can’t evaluate the quality. The pool area was inviting but the weather was still a bit cool for us. There is some parking available next to the hotel, and more in a small shopping area adjacent to it.

A definite positive feature for us was the friendly, helpful staff who helped us with our luggage (no lift) and with information about the area. They also made good restaurant recommendations.

Overall the Hotel Les Oliviers was very good value, comfortable and convenient.

My husband & 7 yr old enjoyed a hospitable stay during our 5 day trip in April. We were looked after and welcomed by the hotel owners-a English man and his lovely French wife who were attentive yet unobtrusive. The hotel is spacious yet cosy, very comfortable & clean, retaining its character. Situated
at the foot of Fayence next to a superb boulangerie! I have confirmed we will be returning. A perfect stay.

Very glad we chose Les Oliviers. Great position from which to explore the local area and Monaco is about an hours drive. The hotel is pretty much the first building you come to as you enter Fayence from the east. As others have said it's all uphill to the town centre (with a variety of excellent restaurants), but we drove! A lovely welcome from the owners, very clean rooms, excellent breakfast, nice terrace and pool area (too cold to tempt us though in late October). Can't fault it really. Very nice to get a pleasant surprise versus the star rating of an establishment rather than a disappointment. Highly recommended.

Breakfast good. Parking facilities ckose to the hotel. Quiet at night except for trafic on the nearby road. Stayed for three days. Hospitality makes you feel welcome and at home. Walking distance from the hotel to Fayence centre at the top, please notice there are shortcuts when you're walking :)

It was right of the road but not noisy at all. The room was very small but very very clean and comfortable. MY husband liked the pool area till some noisy kids came. Good location to explore more of the area and good english speaking staff is a plus. We didn't have breakfast but ordered coffee it was the best coffee on this trip for me. We had 2 nights here and out most of the days to explore the surrounding villages to lunch here and there and came back to rest in the late afternoon just perfect location.
