After a long day driving through the lavendal fields we stopped at this hotel and were positively surprised. We got a nice and modern room for 3 people. Very nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Room Nr. 29. We enjoyed the pool, walked through old town, which is right at the doorstep of the hotel and decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant which turned out nice. We can certainly recommend the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel des Alpes. We paid for a room at the street, but got upgraded to a room in the back facing the restaurant and the pool. We got great advice from the staff, who always had a smile and a helping hand. The breakfast was quite good and substantive. The main street in Greoux is just outside the door of the hotel, where one can find many shops, a grocery store, cafes, bakeries and restaurants, which were all good. The parking was convenient and the pool very nice. Though we did not eat at the restaurant, judging by the looks of the clientele, it is also a rather good quality establishment in Greoux. Excellent place from which to explore, as we did, the lavender fields near Valensole and Manosque, the L'Occitane factory and shop near Manosque, Manosque itself, Roussillon and both the lake of St. Croix and Esparron (did not have time to visit the Gorges du Verdon). Stairs were no problem and the air conditioner functioned very well and was easy to operate. We would have loved a mini-bar to store some cold water in during the night, and the internet service, while good, was not very convenient to use as one had to constantly get reconnected. But overall we had a very nice experience, and we definitely recommend this hotel because we would return here when visiting Provence again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the restaurant and pool, and also off the street. There is some low mumur fro...

Beware: The hotel has neither an elevator nor a porter.
Beware: There is no one at the desk after 9 PM, so I don't know what you would do if you needed help.
Beware: The thermostat is more complicated than a simple dial; seek instructions from the staff if you are unfamiliar with it.
Beware: The instructions for the free WiFi are inadequate. Again, seek instructions from the staff.
Plus: The staff, as others have said, is friendly.

Seemed a pleasant hotel with friendly English speaking staff and reasonable food. No chance to sample the facilities as we were travelling on early. Room was small, but entirely adequate for our overnight stay.

The principal memory is one of staircases - going down to the room, up for food, then down another for reception and breakfast. So possibly one to avoid for the elderly or infirm.

We seemed to have been put in one of the older rooms facing the road.
Our room was very tired and did need a refresh. The fittings in the room were very worn.
Suspended ceiling in the room from which you could hear dripping throughout the night.
The bathroom was tired, had a very small shower and smelt of damp.
Other travellers with us reported much nicer and modernised rooms.
The Restaurant was reachable via an uncovered patio but the décor and food was very good. Very friendly and helpful serving staff.
Car parking and pool area looked very welcoming.

We really enjoy the place for diner by the terrace with nice old trees on the evening.
A pool is not far and quite nice to see in the hot summer of Provence....

The food was quite good and the waiter was really active and efficient as the place
was really very busy.

We enjoyed the Rosé de Provence and the qualitaitve food and place.

Friendly staff at the reception desk, very willing to help and give tips concerning the environement.
Family room has a huge masterbed but the children's bed is a sofabed, which isn't quit comfortable if you have two older children.
Large breakfast buffet with different kinds of jam and cheeses, orange juice, fresh fruit, cereals, boiled eggs, pastries, ...
As the hotel is next to the 'Rue Grande', there are lots of restaurants nearby, nevertheless we had diner once in the hotel 's restaurant and I can recommend trying the menu 'gourmet et terroir'. Make sure you're hungry because they serve big portions!
