We discovered this hotel as it was near the Gorges of Verdon.
We enjoyed the tranquility and friendliness of the staff.
We were also pleased for the family atmosphere and the rooms very comfortable.
We relaxed by the pool and sauna.
Even our wonderful Dalmatian (Yakki Doodle is his name) has appreciated
well-kept garden and the affection of the guests.

This hotel offers the real deal if you're looking for an authentic French experience -- and I mean that in the best possible sense. The owners are sweet, and they'll offer you enthusiastic guidance about all the local attractions (tons of them in the heart of Provence!). If you're into food and wine (not as much my thing, but my sister is a real wine expert), they'll recommend local wineries and restaurants, and they keep a stock of their favorite regional wines on-hand, to re-sell to interested guests. When I say "local" (attractions, wineries, etc.), I'm talking about places within a 2-3-hour drive - there are so many amazing small towns, hiking trails, and so much more in the area.

The hotel itself is set on a lovely property, with a huge garden area in the back, and, if you get a garden-facing room, patios overlooking the garden. All the rooms have patios with small tables for eating in, and that's nice for those who want to eat in occasionally, taking advantage of the basic (but small) kitchen features in the rooms. There's also a beautiful pool in the back, complete with parasols to protect you from the deceptively strong sun. (Weather is a lovely type of dry heat, with cool breezes in the mornings and evenings.)

The rooms are simple but homey -- hand-designed / painted with all sorts of features that are anything but institutional. This is definitely NOT your standard boring-box hotel. The bathrooms and showers are great by French standards, and they've all been upgraded in the past few years. (We've been visiting this property when going to the area annually for almost a decade now.) King beds (two twins which can be separated if need be) have duvet covers, and everything is clean and fresh. The hallways have fresh carpeting.

There's a lovely salon that feels like a room in old-school French film or something, where you can have breakfast if you like. (We prefer to grab something in our rooms, but I can say that their coffee is great, and it looks like they have a big spread of the traditional cheeses, meats, rolls/bread, etc. I CAN vouch for the homemade jam -- I look forward to it every year!

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a charming home-away-from-home that doesn't feel boring and American and you want to check out a French region rich with attractions.

Room Tip: Garden-facing rooms are more expensive but offer lovely patio views. Also, the deluxe (higher-priced...

Lou Paradou is Provence's hidden gem. The rooms are meticulous, comfortable and well appointed. The grounds are manicured and soothing to a stressed soul. The owners are gracious and extremely helpful. I stayed here for several weeks, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing environment. I would also highly recommend the owner's excellent selection of local wines for purchase. As a self-confessed wine snob, I am typically suspicious of hotel wine. However, Philippe (the co-owner), clearly has a discerning palate. If you don't have time to check out some of the local wineries, I highly recommend the hotel's sampling.

We followed previous reviews and were not disappointed at all.
It is clean and well maintained. beautiful pool. The owner was very kind, and helpful .

Greoux les bains itself was a good surprise, good atmosphere - small performances in the old part of the town, cheerful and entertaining during the evening. Highly recommending to rent a bike and spend half day in the area. Rent a VTT (electric bike) - Go to St. Julien le montanieux (would be difficult to reach by a regular bicycle). Also recommending to go to Lac D'Esparron - real paradise only few kilometers away .

Room Tip: Try to get a garden room .

We stayed here for one night 'en route'.
We received the nicest greeting from the owner who seemed to never stop smiling.
Our room was large with a lovely shower-room which had been recently refurbished.
Nice balcony looking over the rear garden.
The room had small kitchenette which would be fine if you did not want the expense of eating out.
Breakfast was very nice on the rear terrace.
The pool, which we did not use, looked lovely.
There is no restaurant but there are plenty within 10 minutes walk.
We stayed in august on friday night there was night market which was packed with tourists.

Hotel was all we could ask for at the rate charged. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Room clean with all you could need. Breakfast excellent although at 9 euros, it should be.
Lovely pool and grounds and large free car park.
Stayed for 6 nights and could well return

We have visited the place without driving a car. Although this makes our journey more difficult than it should be, it offers us the chance to experience the kindness and gentleness of the people in Gréoux-les-Bains, and particularly in Lou Paradou.

There is only one bus (ligne 27) from Aix-en-provence TGV station to Gréoux-les-Bains at 14:30. It operates daily apart from Sundays and public holidays. After 1.5 hours, we arrived at the town of Gréoux-les-Bains.

There was a direction sign for Lou Paradou, but that was for the car and NOT FOR PEDESTRIANS. It caused some confusions and therefore we had to seek direction from people in town. The friendliness of the people was beyond our expectation. One of the passer-bys even drove his car around to give us a lift to Lou Paradou.

The day we arrived was a Saturday, and we have planned to leave the town the following day. The host has helped us to plan our trip to the lavender field and our return journey on Sunday. As I have previously mentioned, there was no bus service on Sundays, and the lavender fields are beyond walking distance, the host kindly offered to drive us to the field than to Manosque to take the bus back to Aix-en-provence. This enabled to get the most out of the really short time of stay and we will definitely return in the future to explore the fully bloomed lavender fields and perhaps to try the mineral spa.

Apart from the people, Lou Paradou is also an excellent place to stay at. The room we have stayed in was a studio. There was a door straight to the back garden, which was a large green field with a large swimming pool. The place also offered traditional french breakfast and of course you can choose to cook for yourself in your own kitchen. There were microwaves and ironing boards in the corridors for residents to use. In addition there was a good selection of local wine at a reasonable price.
