Stayed here from the 8th July with 2 friends, we were very priviledged to of been the first guest to stay in the house.
Stefan and Naomi welcomed us warmly and were on hand to help us or answer any queries we had.
A must try is some of Naomi's home made jam !!! We all brought some home with us !!! Delish !!!
I had the bedroom at the front of the house with the double bed, very comfortable, although there was a heat wave while we were there!
The house was a very pleasant suprised to us as we had booked it whilst it was still undergoing the final touches of its renovation lol !
The time and love put into the house is evident from the beautiful hand made tiles, and matching wash bowls in bathrooms, stunning,
Well laid out with everything you need for self catering. There is 2 supermarkets within 5 minute walk, and also fresh fruit and vegetable shops dotted around. Food was very cheap, and you can get 2 Grande ice cold beers and a coke cola for about €4.60, We had lemons from the trees in our drinks, you can't get fresher than that!!
We had a lovely meal at "Nemesis" with a jug of Sangria very reasonable.
Barka cafe bar is quirky and serves gorgeous cakes!! And also herbal teas, no Alcohol here though.
A visit to the church is a must, even if you are not particularly religious, it is beautiful inside, we went to Sunday Mass which was very moving. The church bells are a lovely touch as well.
We had frappe's at the cafe next to the Church most days with were very refreshing, the yoghurt ones with Mango were delicious.
People speak very little English there, and we made an effort to attempt some Spanish which I think was appreciated.
If you are wanting a wild holiday with clubs and loud bars, this is probably not for you,
But if you are looking for total relaxation , a slower pace of life, friendly locals then this is ideal !!! The terrace on the top floor is a sun trap if you want to get a tan. Beautiful views of the mountains.
The taxi transfer service we used was Sun transfers. Com, which brought us right to the door of El Garzoopo from Malaga airport, and back again, very reliable and prompt, easy to book online. The price shared between 3 of us was reasonable.
Just one point which we mentioned to Stefan when we were there amongst discussing politics etc lol , was we thought the pool would benifit from a hand rail to help with getting in and out.
So just a big thankyou to Stefan and Naomi, and old El Garzopo for letting us have the honour of being it's first guests, big hugs to you both xx
Stefan and Naomi were helpful, informative and friendly. I stayed in orgiva for one week.
The house was renovated to a very high standard fully equipped with everything you might need for your stay.
The kitchen has everything right down to a cheese grater.
Bedrooms nice and airy with comfy beds.
Lots of outside space beside a lovely pool with places to sit and eat.
Fantastic views all of this just two min from the town centre a quiet location.
If you stay here you wont be disappointed a fabulous house.
Thanks to Stefan and Naomi
