We stayed at Beachcomber in early March. Two adults and a medium sized pooch. We are all very impressed with the house. The gardens are enclosed, with the main lawned area facing away from the beach, so is classed as the back of the house. From there you go into the building which has a nice sized entry hall. To the left are a few steps down to the bedrooms, as this is an upside down house. There are 4 bedrooms a twin, two doubles with large picture windows overlooking the smaller "front" lawns, with the views continuing to the dunes. They also have doors to access the outside. The 4th bedroom is a master with ensuite and a very spacious walk in wardrobe. The room is huge, so much so the double bed gets a bit lost as it could easily accommodate a super kingsize bed. This room, again, has the same views and direct access to the gardens. We used the master and the shower for the ensuite is very good. There is also a family bathroom on this level, very well kitted out, but we didn't use it. The utility room is on this level too, with direct access to the gardens, this was great for walking the dog as we could clean her down from walks on the beach (only a couple of mins walk from the garden gate) before going further into the house. There isn't any coat hooks in there though, which we definitely needed, out of season, as we had nowhere to hang wet raincoats and dog towels. The main open plan living area is upstairs and the view from the terrace was breath-taking. There was a lovely welcome basket waiting for us with tea, coffee and lemon biscuits and a bottle of wine. The kitchen is well kitted out and the American style fridge freezer is a very good size. The log burner in the sitting room was used most nights and we were snug as bugs in a rug.
All in all a very relaxing time. Now that we have found Beachcomber, we will definitely be back.
