Sibton White Horse is our favourite accommadation in the area, we have been back now 4 times and each time we enjoy Jill and Niells hospitality, the breakfasts menus are varied and good and the waitresses very helpfull and pleasant.
We have been in several of the rooms but our favourite is No 4 for size and views.
Will be back next year.

A beautiful part of Suffolk and perfect for walking and exploring local villages. The food and the welcome were first class. Jill and Neil are clearly committed in what they do and the pub seems to be a community focus as well as catering for guests.

Room Tip: Room 6 seems suitable for a disabled traveller and companion too. It has a wet room shower.

as with the previous reviews jill and neil are great hosts, food was good, ale excellent, wine (by the glass so maybe not fully representative of the range) average, service was friendly, quiz night was fun, our room and the ameneties were fine but in my opinion at £90 was about 15% overpriced.

We booked a 3 day break at The White Horse after reading all the comments on Tripadvisor and were interested to see if it lived up to it's reputation. We were late arriving last tuesday due to our car breaking down, old Morgan, water in the distributor, had to call out the AA, so we phoned and Neil said "no problem". We finally arrived to be greeted by Neil, who gave us time to have a quick and much needed drink in the bar before showing us to our room. We had booked Room 1, which we knew from the website was upstairs in the separate accomodation building, as from previous experinces we didn't fancy any late night returning guests being noisy overhead. We were not disappointed, the room was tastefully decorated in the most soft mediteranean yellow, with complimentary furnishings. The bathroom was light and airy with the biggest pile of soft towels and high class toiletries and a unexpected bonus of a small and well appointed dressing room.
We had made a booking in the resturant for 8pm and after a quick shower and change we walked the few yards back to the bar. The bar was busy as was the resturant and we now know why! Neil gave us 2 menus, the Pub Menu and the A La Carte and was keen to point out that we could mix and match, and to take a look at the "Specials" on the blackboard. Having had a difficult day I did not want a huge meal and chose the Chicken and Bacon salad from the pub menu and Phil chose the Beer Battered Fish from the same menu. My salad was excellent, lots of warm chicken and finely sliced smoked bacon on a bed of mixed leaves with just the right amount of light dressing, yummy and the fish and chips weren't bad either judging by the speed at which they were eaten. We retired to our very comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Breakfast each day was again excellent, such a choice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, nuts, cereals, jams and here Neil and Gill get extra brownie points, real Marmite. The cooked breakfast were amazing, my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon put a lot of top London hotels to shame, creamy, light and fluffy with a very, very generous helping of smoked salmon. Phil had a kipper which was meaty and nothing like the plastic fish you get in supermarkets as was the smoked haddock he had on the second day. It was easy to see why this place is so successfull, fresh local produce cooked to perfection, the lamb we had on the second evening was soft, pink and sumpteous only to be beaten on our last night by the best Gressingham Duck I have ever eaten, if I had been able to, I would have been tempted to wipe the plate with my finger, so delicious was the meal I didn't want leave any of it. Phil had a steak which again was devoured with lots of noises like Mmmmm this is good! We can only say we had a wonderful time at The White Horse, Neil and Gill deserve the praise, they are genuinely "Mine Hosts" and proud of what they have achieved and so they should be. If you want to explore Suffolk we can think of no better place to stay than here, friendly owners with a vast knowledge of the area, spotlessly clean accomodation and excellent food , beer and wine. We congratulate you.
(Neil I won't mention the lack of black pudding on our last day as you had tried so hard to convince the other guests how tasty and wonderful it was, the extra rasher of bacon made up for it)
