Brilliantly clean kitchen and bathrooms. The lodge and tent were ample for our needs. Lighting a bit dim for indoor work but thats what lamps and extension cords are for. Staff are present, interested and helpful. Only thing that would be improved would be a better rate for the cabin rentals.

Room Tip: Really great hot tub adjacent to the squeaky clean change house and showers. Make sure to jump in th...

Thank-you Karen for your kind remarks. We enjoy so much seeing the creativity that each of the artists bring to the retreat. We could discount the cottage rental if more of the group were to rent cottages. We give a group discount to any who rent 10 or more cottages for their event.
Kind regards,
Peg B

An Art retreat was held at the lodge and a group of us stayed in one of the cabins. The staff was friendly and helpful...the camp dogs would come for a visit anytime we were around the cabin. Very friendly! Only complaint would be the quality of the sofa bed. The regular beds were very comfortable. I can't erase the rating for the swimming pool, the lake, or the fitness centre, the trails.
I didn't mean to call them "terrible". There is no pool or fitness centre...good hot tub though.

Thanks for your review. We certainly enjoyed viewing all the artistic talent at the Artist's Retreat. Unfortunately the only way we can accommodate 5 people in a cottage is with the hide-a-beds. They are really meant for only 4 adults. When we have a family with 4 children we put them in a cottage with a double bed in one room, and four bunks in the other bedroom, which would have been hard for your group (one lady would have been in a top bunk). In future, you might want to add some more people to your group, and rent two cottages. We appreciate your comments, and welcome constructive criticism.
Kind regards,
Peg B

We loved the atmosphere and being a pet friendly facility was a definite plus. We were able to come, bring our dogs and enjoy our stay, worry-free. The cabins were so clean and comfortable, we felt like we were right-at-home. As for the staff, I felt like I only needed to ask and they were there for what ever we needed, they were so friendly! We will definitely be back for another visit.

We stayed at your facility the beginning of July and it was excellent! The cabins were very comfortable and the boats were very good! We would not hesitate to stay here again and in fact are planning our next trip there!

We stayed here for a week with a group and it was great. The food was great, the staff was friendly and the accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The setting was beautiful and if we needed anything the nearest town was only 15 minutes away.

Room Tip: Go fishing!! Stay in the cabins by the lake

We recently held a Family Reunion and BNL and the experience could not have been better. The staff were helpful, cooperative and friendly. Everyone's comments from the family were positive. The relatively new Club House is an awesome and beautiful facility. People took advantage of the dart board (needs new darts but had my own), pool table, and ping pong table; a great place to get together for cards and games. After a busy day of bike riding, canoeing, fishing, volleyball or frisbee, it was great to be able to soak in the large, outdoor hot tub after a shower in the new showers/bathroom facility right next to it. The individual cabins were beautiful. Nights were dark, quiet and great for sleeping. The only thing that would have made the experience better was if mosquitos didn't exist so even though you're in God's country, don't forget your bug spray. Course, if there wouldn't have been mosquitos...it would have been Paradise. James Juliak, Brandon, MB.

The staff went out of their way to make our family reunion successful. They were very friendly and accommodating; the cabins were clean and well-stocked and our fishing excursion a complete success. Well done BNL!
