This quaint little spot in the heart of busting St. Albert is just too good to pass up. With an AMAZING wine list and food to match, you just have to try it. Locally owned and operated which I happen to adore, along with their extensive beer menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating, great place to chill as the sun sets.

The food is Tapas Style, with a menu that changes frequently. Most of the food is locally sourced where they can, and they are now making their own in-house cured meats. Housemade bread too, to pair with the charcuterie board is not to be missed! Great little place for a classy glass of wine and some really good food served up by local St. Albertians!

A wonderful wine and tapa bar in the heart of downtown St. Albert. They have a fantastic chef who sources local foods where he can. He does not believe in a microwave (I am liking this). The tapas and wines are wonderful. Reservations are highly recommended as this has become a hotspot with delicious food.

For a special event, we had the pleasure of trying Privada for the first time this week. The decor at Privada was an ideal space for the event. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The space was clean and cozy with a nice mix of rustic and modern. I hear their patio will open soon with their propane heaters, which is an added plus. They are in a great central area of St.Albert with nearby walking and shopping.

The chefs at Privada know how to cook and the meat was all excellent! The presentation was perfect and I couldn't have had a better time.

I am back at work today and can't stop talking about the amazing fresh bread, the mushroom and apple spread, the charcuterie board, the kale salad with fried garlic, wild rice, and mushrooms - with just the right amount of vinaigrette dressing.

And the Pièce de résistance was the amazing crown roast of pork, supplied by D'Arcy's Meat Market and cooked to absolute perfection by the Privada chefs!! Tender juicy and not a moment overdone!

I wish we could have stayed for desert, which I'm sure was equally as amazing.

We would gladly return to Privada if in the area and will surely recommend them to others.

Went for the evening with another couple. The atmosphere as you enter is up beat and friendly and the smells of the food being prepared is delicious. We had a 630 reservation ( recommended ) and were greeted at the door and promptly seated.

Our server was very good , she was attentive but not pushy. We had no idea what to order and her recommendation were all very tasty.
We had to many tapa's that were all good to recommend just one. If I had to choose, it would be the candy smoked salmon or the Scotch egg or the mushroom ragout or maybe the bread. The list could go on, just to many to choose just one.

It's a great place to go for an evening with friend, for good conversation or a quiet table to the side for a romantic dinner for two.

Parking is a bit of a problem, there is street parking in the area.

We plan on going again!

We have been to Privada for some wine and Tapas before going to the Arden Theatre in St. Albert. A good way to kick off the evening.
We discovered that they do special events with a 6 course meal with wine pairings. Right up our alley!
Last New Years Eve we thought we would try it out and sure glad we did.
Here is a break down of the meal. Started with a bread plate & rabbit stew,Then a kale salad, followed by Sea bass and trimmings, then elk ribeye also with trimmings. For desert we had a Spearmint Mille feuille ( puff pastry, orange, oak ice cream.Oh yes we can't forget the Petits fours. All the courses were paired with about 3 ounces of wine. Real Classy !
