Thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful two nights here during our trip to Argentina. We were made to feel so welcome, we felt that we had our own beautiful home in a stunning setting. The wine was excellent and the food good home cooking. The empanadas made locally were a particular highlight. Cachi is pretty and tranquil and the journey from Salta very picturesque. The road to Salta is pretty good. The road Cafayate is unpaved but we still had no problems in a normal rental car, though it was a bit bumpy. The scenery made it worthwhile though.
I am quite surprised by some of the other comments on this website. We are a gay couple and we were treated very well by the owners. They were initially worried they had prepared the wrong sort of room, but were more than happy for us to have the main suite. We also had the run of the main house and did not feel watched at all. It is true that it helpful to speak a little Spanish, but then you are in a Spanish speaking country.
All in all, we plan to go back again at some point.
