I stayed here a couple of days end of November, and the weather was not good at all. Probably it is much better when sun is shining, now it was rather isolated for the people staying after their business meeting. The welcome is as you see them in movies about Club Med, and globally I would say the machine is running well, even to take care of large groups. Room was OK in my opinion, with warm colours, but heated too much upon arrival. They have spa and fitness (only 2 threadmills), and there should be tennis and golf, but given the weather, did not check them out. Most pleasant surprise was quality of food, with quite a few places of showcooking, and buffet of high quality tasty food. Airport Nice is 30 minutes from Club Med.

Five fabulous days of good weather at the end of October enabled us to enjoy tennis lessons, walks, fabulous food, friendly GOs, views over the surrounding countryside, and all at really great value for a mum and two kids, 8 and 5. Highly recommended, .Club Med never disappoints if you want lots of activities, a sociable time and some fun playing bar games, choose your team, terasse or piscine!

stayed here on business for a week , Nice place in the hills around Nice
Great food restuarant had everything you could think of across the range of different types of food , Great oysters king prawns and crab on sea food night.
BAr provides a good range of cocktails and beer.
FAcilities quite good, from a main pool to a quieter one in the grounds.
Only down side is the accomodation which is a bit tired and could do with a make over

I am here for business meetings and was expecting the accommodation to be 4 or 5-star. So I am truly shocked to see what a dump the room is: chipped paint, pencil markings all over the wall by the phone, luggage scuff marks everywhere, chipped furniture, etc. The room is tiny and had two twin (children's) beds. I was assured the beds could be pushed together and "zipped" to make a king-sized bed. Well, housekeeping just did that and I can assure you it's like having two twins pushed together with a gap between the mattresses. They couldn't even be bothered to provide a king-sized duvet. Also, no desk in the room (guess business travelers are to use the very small round table). There's also a real absence of any in-room amenities: no iron, no tea kettle, etc. And the balcony is a tiny triangle cage that appears to have the sole purpose of letting one check the weather. This is not a place I would ever come back to and would actively dissuade people from coming here.

We were keen to visit Club Med Opio as we love this area of the South of France and on reading the reviews and looking at the website, I thought that this could be the ideal family holiday for us in 2013 with our 3 children. Staying in the area, we organised a visit to the resort. This in itself was extremely difficult to do and the staff were not at all helpful. Eventually after contacting the London office then the resort and then various emails, we were granted a visit but would have to make our own way around the resort as the staff were far too busy to show us! Ok, happy enough to do this we went on our way.
Having stayed at the Forte Village in Sardinia and Pinecliffs in Portugal, I was expecting something similar as this is 4*. What a shock! The reception area is lovely but very much like a business conference centre and that for us is what the whole resort resembled. We made our way outside to the pool area - the pool is huge and did look lovely. If you like row upon row of sunbeds glued together, you will love this. We dont! We made our way around the resort seeing various blocks of bedrooms that looked like little prisons - they were awful! Some with balcony, some without and those with, looked out onto the pine forest - we peeked in a room and it was tiny.
The resort is massive but so unwelcoming and we didnt feel it had a nice atmosphere at all! After traipsing around for a long time, we finally found the children's club in the 'Circus area' seeing 5 children who looked as miserable as sin being supposedly entertained. My children were horrified. There was also a Corporate Day at the resort and I agree with an earlier reviewer - who wants to see men in suits, discussing sales forecasts when you are in your bikini by the pool. We saw hardly anyone else and those that we did see didnt look happy and the staff, who were supposedly run off their feet that day, were sat in reception doing nothing. Perhaps if we had been able to have an accompanied tour we may have had a better visit. As it was we were practically running away from this resort, feeling a little like we had escaped from a prison camp. Not for us at all and certainly not 4*.

Best club med resort I have ever been to. The staff is friendly - always smiling and greeting you when they pass you during the day. I shared a room with my sister whereas my brother and dad shared the room next door. The food was great - and thank god for the late breakfast! I loved the lemon juice served at your seat by the pool in the mid morning. The entertainment was great - loved the crazy signs by the pool and the pool games in the afternoon! The shows were amazing - especially the circus show. Impressive!!!

We were staying in this hotel 1 week - 12-19 August 2012 - family with a child of 2.5 years old. Taking into account that this is a 4 "star" hotel, we were awating something of a "deluxe", as the price we paid was very promising. In reality it turned to be a 2 "star" hotel, with a small exception to the food, which was very good. But the rest was just unbearable: the room was in very poor condition with the painting dropping off the windows, the carpets with holes, the bed-lining with yellow stains, the bedroom with crackled floor, no balcony (probably we had a balcony which ressembled a micro-cage of a prisoner). The hotel itself is in very poor condition, needs a strong rennovation with total refurbishing, looks like the furniture comes from 70-es. In the bar in the main building the tables are always dirty, the faux material of the sofas is dropping off. The hotel decor is itself very unpleasant. There is no particular Ambiance, no Atmosphere - that could be created by the smart management in such a lovely place as Provence. The hotel is open 12 months and has several conference rooms, so it is never closed for even a small rennovation, it is just a money-making machine. The reception is useless. We were waiting for 2 hours for our luggage to be delivered into the room after arrival (after 3 phone calls to recetion). The service in the restaurant is bad. The children of 2-3 years (petit club) have no playground outside and no swimmimg pool. They were locked in the room with a strong conditioning. We are going to open a case with ClubMed, as we are very dissapointed. After visiting several ClubMeds, we can say that 3 stars are far away much better that this 4* in OPIO. WE JUST WANT TO WORN YOU THAT THIS HOTEL IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!
